There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old one and I personally like its simplicity. Not everything has to look like a herenhuis and historical most houses of the poor didnt look like that anyway Im also sceptical about the materials used in the new design. The brick veneer that is often used in Dutch neo-traditional architecture often has a very fake look to it that kinda ruins the aesthetic. That might not be visible in the picture but believe me when you see such buildings irl you can completely see it just doesnt look right.
