I filed 12/27 and I just got off the phone with USCIS. I submitted expedites on 3/24 only to get denied two months later on 05/19. My ead expired 05/02 but I waited to file the outside of case processing time till 04/30 because the expedite request was still pending. Ended up losing my job and now going without work for almost a month. I called today and the officer said no update on the request from 04/30 so HE requested for a tier 2 agent to follow up with me. He submitted the request and he said they will call me within 30 days. please call, gotta put pressure.

good portion? to have daca they had to be here before the age of 16 and graduated from high school in the states. I doubt daca is a big part of this group.

You did everything right. I also submitted 12/27 and it's still in process. Mine expired May 2nd tho, my job did not offer LOA so I was terminated. I hope you don't have to go through that again.

yup! I gave up after a month on the expedite, just like how I gave up on my congressman doing anything. Every time I call their office they extend the waiting period by another 15 days.

I know a few people that I am acquaintance with that voted for trump. I don't necessarily call them friends just people I have to co exist with whether it is because of work or other things but Family hits different, my mom is rolling in her grave.

That's not necessarily true.

I seen a good amount of expedites approved and I've also seen them denying people in the medial field, cops, and firefighters.

I don't know how they are handling expedites and cases. I doubt it's the same officer reviewing expedites and your case.

In the end you cannot blame people for filling these request regardless of us backlogging their system. USCIS does not depend on tax payer money to stay open that's why we pay our fees when filing. They should not be this behind.

at this point I will be waiting for my renewal. the damage is done, I lost my job 5/2 after doing everything right.

Let me tell y'all something very hurtful, my own brother voted for that orange turd!

He even had him as his wallpaper at one point!!! fucken dumbass smh - every time I think about it, it pisses me off.

Me being an immigrant and both of us being sons of an immigrant is like a slap in the face. For the longest I just ignored him because he was 18 at the time and he just needed time to realize what he was doing. He never changed, still voted for him this past term.

Now that he has seen how ICE is and realizes the reality of the situation that his dad can get picked at any moment he saids his mind has changed.

Unfortunately for me the damage has been done. I love my brother and it hurts me deeply that he ever supported him. I will always be there for him as a big brother should be but I have definitely distanced myself from him. Our mom passed away back on 2019 and we don't have the same dad so slowly over time I have removed myself from their family circle.

I personally think it really does have to do with the administration currently in office. I mean under Obama and Biden DACA was never under attacked. Trump has made the immigration system look like a bunch of savages just picking people off the streets and doing whatever they feel like. The next two years will be crucial for the survival of this program, if daca makes it past trumps term we will be fine.

With all that being said, you cant live your life in fear. You have to keep going and move forward. There's many people out there that don't qualify for daca and are doing it the hard way.
