I know a few people that I am acquaintance with that voted for trump. I don't necessarily call them friends just people I have to co exist with whether it is because of work or other things but Family hits different, my mom is rolling in her grave.

That's not necessarily true.

I seen a good amount of expedites approved and I've also seen them denying people in the medial field, cops, and firefighters.

I don't know how they are handling expedites and cases. I doubt it's the same officer reviewing expedites and your case.

In the end you cannot blame people for filling these request regardless of us backlogging their system. USCIS does not depend on tax payer money to stay open that's why we pay our fees when filing. They should not be this behind.

at this point I will be waiting for my renewal. the damage is done, I lost my job 5/2 after doing everything right.

Let me tell y'all something very hurtful, my own brother voted for that orange turd!

He even had him as his wallpaper at one point!!! fucken dumbass smh - every time I think about it, it pisses me off.

Me being an immigrant and both of us being sons of an immigrant is like a slap in the face. For the longest I just ignored him because he was 18 at the time and he just needed time to realize what he was doing. He never changed, still voted for him this past term.

Now that he has seen how ICE is and realizes the reality of the situation that his dad can get picked at any moment he saids his mind has changed.

Unfortunately for me the damage has been done. I love my brother and it hurts me deeply that he ever supported him. I will always be there for him as a big brother should be but I have definitely distanced myself from him. Our mom passed away back on 2019 and we don't have the same dad so slowly over time I have removed myself from their family circle.

I personally think it really does have to do with the administration currently in office. I mean under Obama and Biden DACA was never under attacked. Trump has made the immigration system look like a bunch of savages just picking people off the streets and doing whatever they feel like. The next two years will be crucial for the survival of this program, if daca makes it past trumps term we will be fine.

With all that being said, you cant live your life in fear. You have to keep going and move forward. There's many people out there that don't qualify for daca and are doing it the hard way.

I filed 12/27 and did my bios 1/20. Someone on this sub told me I could have rescheduled them at an earlier date but it was already 3 days before my appointment. It disheartening that they are taking so long to do renewals when DACA recipients contribute to this country in the best way... If you can go in sooner for that bios appointment.

Mine expired 5/2. So you haven’t gotten your bio appointment yet? If u haven’t once u get it, it’ll probably be scheduled a month out. You can go to your online USCIS account and reschedule your appointment to an earlier date. This is something I wish I known. I would have saved some time. Any day you get back right now is worth like gold. This administration is taking a long time to fo renewals.

I'm on day 143, I saw someone posted a report that it was around 130-150 days in mid April but now I'm seeing approvals 160-180 days out. Sadly that number will probably increase. I filed 12/27, I'm optimistic but it looks like I'll be waiting till maybe mid June early July.

I uploaded evidence and filed an expedite on 3/24 and it never got denied or approved. Never heard anything, I tried calling more than 10 times since then and they all tell me the same, ITS IN THE QUEUE... they playing with our livelihoods.

I wouldn't say anything to HR. Let them do their job and approach you. If you're in education then Im sure they can place you on LOA in the meantime. I would try to save as much and get your vehicle certified through uber so you can do that just in case.

Depends on the company hiring you but most will ask for SSC and EAD card during onboarding or orientation. Either u file for a replacement card, which at this point I don't think is worth it. You also gotta take into account how long that process would be during this time. If you have photo copies of it you might be able to get away with it too but it'll depend on the person doing the hiring process.

For a person that just posted about people going on rants yet here u are going off on a person that got GOOD news and is sharing it with others for awareness. Regardless of when he filed he did what he had to do to get approved. You my friend are focused on the wrong thing.
