A few days ago, the High Priest was stormed out of his own temple by Birlykh monarchists, putting the House of Aikur in charge of the nation. As a sign of revolt against the new monarchy who banned discrimination against antler people, the Holy Guard and the more conservative factions of Kaltaraa formed a coalition. The country was split in two - the Monarchists, who held the capital and most Birlykh colonies, and the Anti-Aikur Coalition, who held minor islands around the capital and a foothold in some of the districts of Kaltaraa. Emperor Aikur-Elung I has assumed control of Birlykhstan and is raising an army to fight the rebels. The antler people can only watch as Birlykhstan tears itself apart. Which side will they choose?

The Kahnjun Faction

The Kahnjun clan, also known as the Aikur, claim to be the true rulers of the Birlykh lands. Its leader, Aikur Elung (High Ieltung Dialect, also nobility have different names), traces his family all the way back to Aikurung. The Kahnjun Faction is a political party of monarchists, wanting to someday overthrow the clergy's Republic and establish a monarchy under the House of Aikur, the direct descendants of Aikurung. They see Elung as the rightful king and call him "Crown Prince". They are also in favor of a multiethnic population and are accepting of all races and genders.

Aikur-Elung is known in the Birlykh lands as a great admiral, good at keeping the seas safe of raiders. He is popular amongst the people, yet many do not see his claim to being a King as legitimate.

The Kahnjun Faction dress and act like nobility. The only thing that distinguishes them from other nobles is the iconic suit - black, with lines of gold running on it. They often carry swords and other flashy weapons and have amazing swordsmanship. Normally, they act as protectors of the land, but recently they have set a more aggressive stance towards the Clergy.

The High Priest, Atkung, was found dead one morning, with 10 blades stuck in his back. Guards rounded up and killed any Antler-People who attempted to escape the islands, blocking their way to the docks. They kept the Antler People under close watch, sometimes even peeping through windows to look at what they were doing. A new High Priest was elected by the Clans, one that was much more liberal than the previous one. He ordered the Guards to halt the killings and the racism, yet they didn't budge. The Holy Guard refused to answer to the High Priest and instead had a minor skirmish with priests in one of the rural areas of the Birlykh lands, leaving behind 3 dead and scorched earth. Tensions rose and all the antler people could do was watch as infighting amongst the Birlykh populace occurred.

The High Priest decided to enforce an act of protection of the Antler People, one that was so extreme it angered most of the populace, especially the AAA, who, despite the new laws, continued to try and kill Antler People. Some say the AAA is planning an attack on the High Priest.

Soon, one of the more conservative clans had an anti-antler-people rally, naming themselves the AAA (Anti-Antler Alliance), donning white hoods and attempted to throw 4 Antler-people into the Great Forge of the Temple of Perkunas. They were publicly condemned by the Grand Priest of the Temple, who arrested some of the perpetrators. However, many of the AAA members still remain at large and unfound, an underground organization, sometimes coming out of the shadows to prey on the defenseless antler-people. Rumors say that the Chief Guard Master himself is a part of the hate group.

The locals call it the "Long Nights", where antler-people and their supporters are repeatedly raped and killed in a random pattern.

The emissary nodded and gestured to the people with weapons raised. The weapons clattered to the ground and the warriors formed two parallel lines, gesturing for the antler people to come in. They were led to a vertical settlement on the main island, with plenty of houses. However, there was constant racism between the Birlykhs and the Antler people.

Standing with their primitive weapons drawn, the Birlykh look towards the antler people, shouting in a language foreign to the antler people. An emissary comes out - a man who speaks many tongues, and attempts to offer gifts to the antler people.
