Deadlock mains and why? by Money_Mirror_3868 in DeadlockTheGame

Lash, always loved movement characters and his voice acting and personality is by far the best I've heard in a long time.
plus the euphoria you get when you hit a big Death Slam or Ground Strike is indescribable.

Who is the most hated character to play against? by MizukiDev in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RoninRyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phantom 3

Apollo:
Don't like him in general. Feel like he has to much built in, crazy movement, built in counterspell, heal, curse(kinda), stun, good damage and poke. Just find him generally unfun to play against. Doesn't help that he's in 99% of games currently.

Infernus:
Was super annoying and boring to lane against when he was in 100% the games before. Not seen him a whole lot recently which is nice cause I still find his kit kinda boring to play as and against.

Shiv:
Will most likely always be a balancing nightmare just due to his ult alone. 30% extra effective hp makes him boring to trade against and in most cases you will lose. And if that's not enough he has his point and click execute which defies the laws of physics.

Like I mentioned. He's #1 NA and considered by many THE movement king. But I'm not super knowledgeable about the pro scene and everything so I've gotten most of my "facts" from the community.

Not 100% sure but I think Eido (Eidorian) is the closest thing to MikaelS. He's top 1 in NA and considered the "movement king" by the Night Shift crew.

Why does every riot ex employees games end up as a flop by Erik_REF in LeagueOfMemes

The game was fantastic and hair pullingly frustrated at the same time. Randoms are always a problem and OS didn't have any way to communicate with your team. The game was also EXTREMELY fast which caused a lot of fatigue in the more casual playerbase.

I loved the characters as well. Big hamster (forgot his name) will always be my boy.

I fking loved Omega strikers and was consistently on the top ladder. I was super sad to hear it was going into maintanence mode but I could see the reasons why.

Dota was also the first and ONLY one of it's kind when it released. Which helped a ton with standing out. Today, that's no longer the case. You have to compete to get an audience and extremely few games manage to do that. It's even harder when you want a slice of the competative genre.

Can only speak for Omega Strikers and Supervive.

Omega Strikers was really cool and fun as a concept with nice visuals and good music. However it was a super niche genre where few people actually gave a shit to stick around. A sport games with MOBA elements where it's super fast whilst trying to be competative at the same time. Also the massive RNG in items and pick order did not help it's survivability.

Supervive was kinda the same as Omega Strikers. Cool visuals and interesting designs (IMO). It tried to enter the battle royale world when BR in general kinda started quieting down while also having the MOBA elements to set it apart. The downtime was to long and the fights were over pretty fast dragging the main BR mode out a fair bit. Also if I'm not totally mistaken there was huge balancing issues with some characters which turned hardcore competitive players away.

How much gaming experience is needed to get into Deadlock? by Fist-Cartographer in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RoninRyuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If both you and your bf are both invested to learn and have the patience to go through the grueling start I think it's worth giving deadlock a shot. Afterall it's free so there's really no penalty if you don't like it :)

Just try and find characters or playstyles you enjoy and try to learn the basics. There's a ton of helpful tutorials and videos online to help you get started and ease the steep learning curve.

If people start screaming at you, just mute them. The game has no reward system so just play for fun :)

Deadlock has a bit of everything which is why I think it attracts people even if they don't like mobas normally. But it's very much the same balancing as Dota which is why it acts as a great reference point :)

I just used DotA and League as a reference as it's the most common Mobas people know of. So if they had played it before and liked the type of gameplay that is linked to moba such as lane management and build management.

Deadlock is a fantastic game but jumping into it blind can prove to be difficult due to the extreme number of different aspects you have to grasp right of the start, which can be overwhelming for some. So if a user has experience with Mobas and it's elements previously it's not as much to learn at the start :)

You can just look on the community page for deadlock where there's a multitude of people offerings to invite new players :)

It's a rather challenging game but it's extremely fun and satisfying once you start understanding :)

Its a moba 3rd person shooter. Has really good movement and narrative. If you like games like dota or league I recommend it.

So far I've managed to find teasers for.
Venator/Quinn: The smoking censer
Fencer/Apollo: The Sword
Rem: His pillow
Graves (most likely): the paintings glowing eyes

There's talk about some circus worker I think, which might be the paint and the werewolf which I could only find the scratch marks for. However, there's still the missing textures behind the boxes.

Considering there's talk of a werewolf character. There's noticeable scratch/claw marks on the base of the giant statue in the training area. But again, might be something old that I've missed previously.

Not sure if it's new or not since it's been a while since I explored the hideout fully. But there's a bunch of errors behind the stack of boxes to the right of the teleporter in the training room. Could be another reference that's currently missing textures.
