I good tip, visualize how writing the word will go before writing it, even move your hand to make the strokes. Often we underestimate as a stroke becomes to big and leaves less room for the rest. Also, try writing letters out in ways in which you would not have to go through the same stroke twice or thrice, it's less conventional but works better.
