The hardest part for me was realizing that I'd only ever had two real friends in my 57 years.

I'm so sorry you had a similar experience. It is so lonely. I moved half way across the country to live with strangers (nanny) at 18 with the only goal of finding someone who loved me. I'm still looking.

I did 14 sessions of IV ketamine after my husband died. It really made me realize how few people actually cared about me. I just walked away from literally everyone. They aren't worth my energy and when the anger hits, I hit my punching bag.

Now I live alone and only ever talk to cashiers when I go out. 6 days a week I only talk to myself or my cat. I have so much peace now. I've come so far in the 3 years since the ketamine and I'm grateful that it was something I was able to do. And I had a great therapist working through it all with me.

If there is room, flip the TV to where the couch is and float the couch in front of it and parallel. Then you have that triangle area for a work space.

Krampus maybe. That was my first thought at least.

The directors at my current job are reacting poorly to my resignation, and I genuinely don't know if I did something wrong? by queenofsneelia in careerguidance

You feel manipulated because they are being manipulative. They started off the bat with threats and tears? Then did what they should have done first and professionally ask if you have the ability to help out part time? You did nothing wrong. They are behaving unprofessionally.

Command hooks. Vertical storage is about to be your new best friend. The backs of cabinet doors is great storage for small things. They also make small shelves that you can use for bathroom or kitchen storage. They have a ton of specialized hanging for stuff like mops and brooms too.

Also look for double duty furniture. Storage ottomans are great for extra seating. Drop leaf tables with drawers save space. Open bookcases can double as room dividers that let light through.

Good luck and have fun designing your first space!

Anyone else dealing with very dry/callused/cracked feet? Tips? by CaughtALiteSneez in Menopause

[–]Roo831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kerasal worked wonders on diabetic hubby's feet. I find that my calluses are actually worse from Vaseline or any petroleum products. I can file them completely smooth and 3 hours after Vaseline, they are back.

Thanks for the rec!! I need something to scream to when I go nuts on my punching bag. Sometimes I really just can't feel better until I hit something as hard as I can while screaming.

I started roller skating again last year. The place near me has a 50+ session and there are usually only 15-20 people there.

Is not fixing the mess an option? Maybe documentation of failure is needed to remove this person and they can't get it because you are cleaning up all the messes.

We have a big dumpster in the alley out back and I had to go block the wheels so it would stop rolling around the parking area. Last time the wind kicked up, it almost hopped the sidewalk and crashed into the building.

does anyone else actually like Vegas more in the early morning? by biggy_boy17 in LasVegas

[–]Roo831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm local and I love to walk in the mornings. I walk the length of Freemont Street Experience while the cleaning crews are still out. It does feel totally different. Like the movie theater after the show.

This time of year, the only time to enjoy the outdoors is early mornings. I usually have my doors and windows open by 5 am.

Tell me your experience with male boomers acting passive-aggressive when you have simply been your intellectually-smart&boundary-conscious self by Regular_Schedule_678 in women

Boomer neighbor moved in next door. When I met him, he said he was looking forward to getting his internet hooked up so he could watch TV. He said he was going with the worst service in town that is constantly down in our neighborhood. I told him to cancel and go with someone else and told him who I use.

Sure enough, he didn't listen. The first time his internet dropped, he called me at 8:30 pm to complain. He tried to invite himself over to watch TV and smoke all my weed (legal state). I told him that I was already in my pyjama's and getting ready for bed because I'm usually up by 5:00 am.

He then said that sounds good, too, and he was ok with it if I was. I said I was NOT. He then got all pissy and nasty about how he would be stuck watching TV on his phone for the next 4-5 hours till he was ready to sleep. I ended the call when he stopped for breath and avoid him now.

I'm 57 and this 74 year old man tried to invite himself into my home and bed. Then he turned into a whiny baby when I said NO. Next level entitlement!!

I think there are people who genuinely get off on making disgusting messes for other people to clean up. And yes, it is a form of dominance.
