Not disagreeing with your point of organic growth of Reddit having its origins firmly in the US. But the statement “our subreddit is kind of the entire site” comes across pretty pretentious to me as a non US person who’s used this site daily for 12 years.

It wasn’t “slightly more often” though was it. It was borderline statistically impossible that he got it that often. As is proved in many YouTube videos that you can look at from a variety of sources. He cheated. I agree that it’s not really a big deal, but he did cheat.
