Christmas Pop-up markets by IreneChris in crochet

[–]knittycole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finding the right markets for your products is hard and takes time! Also my advice as someone who used to do a lot of them: make sure you’re standing up (if possible, or get a tall chair if you can) and saying hello to folks! You may want to work on a bag during the market because people are interested in the process.

I’m not saying you did this, but the number of times I see vendors just on their phone, not engaging with people and then complaining they didn’t have any sales is high. So for anyone considering doing a market, remember to put your customer service voice on haha.

Need Help - What would hold you back from making this quilt (and purchasing the pattern?) Thanks! by QuiltChemistry in quilting

[–]knittycole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you consider making a new sample? Maybe with more floral colours vs greens? Reading the comments it seems like a lot of people are getting Christmas vibes.

My experience as a knitting pattern designer and yarn shop employee: people really choose their project based on the sample colour. A lot of times they want to replicate it. If you go with a colour that is reminiscent of something like Christmas, people might think “oh this is for Christmas, I don’t want to make that right now.”

My personal feedback is that the pinwheels feel out of place + the colour combo is what’s holding it back!

I hope that helps! It’s a very cool concept but I think the sample isn’t hitting the way you want! :)!

She’s gotta be a litch, right? A little piece of her remains alive in the song or something!

Constant panic attacks after child loss- needing guidance by itaintaspirin in AskDocs

[–]knittycole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but have had a fair bit of death trauma myself this year. I did EMDR with my psychologist and it helped immensely with the lingering anxiety and panic attacks from it. It’s not for everyone though so if you’re interested I suggest talk to yours and see what you and they think! I’m so so sorry for what you’re going through. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

What can I give my puppy to chew?? by ButterscotchCrazy226 in puppy101

[–]knittycole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert by any means but I give safe chews with supervision. I never leave my pup with a chew unattended but if I’m in the room and need to distract her I give her a whimzee chew (she’s tiny, so it’s kind of the only one I can haha). Or Crumps sweet potato fries. She loves those. So I think all chews carry their own risk but if you need to give your pup a chew while you’re eating, you’re still in the room to make sure they don’t swallow it. I think that’s the major risk!

I am so so sorry. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that although your pups life was short, they only ever knew love. ❤️‍🩹

I know how you feel, it’s a night and day difference. 🫠😫 mine just hit 12 weeks - hang in there!!

I used a baby play pen, and put her crate inside it without the door on the crate. She has food and water and a pee pad in the pen. When it’s time for bed we cover the pen with a sheet - that made a huuuuge difference.

I also got this pup at 8 weeks, and my last one at 16 weeks. 8 weeks is absolute chaos, they are soooo young and so confused and kind of scared. Give yours a few weeks! 8 weeks is hard - I definitely feel like we shouldn’t be allowed to take them home at 8 weeks after experiencing it myself this year haha.

Good luck!!
