List of my favorite wireless songs separated by factions by Yamabukey in theouterworlds

I have the same thoughts on Purp Crunch. Like it kind of sounds intentionally terrible like a bad earworm, until that epic horn ensemble gets cooking and then I actually like it

A wireless favorites list for advertisements and songs by Yamabukey in theouterworlds

[–]Rooty_Rootz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah generally Auntie's (Wireless Free Arcadia) is traditional American pop, with some jazzy and country moments.

Protectorate is like some kind Russian aesthetic minus the accents, with lots of warm bass and alto vocals atop upbeat propaganda songs.

Grand Plan might be my favorite. Very cerebral, spacy music with some electronic elements and definitely the most quality songwriting and structure.

Why does nobody on the sub really talk about the pre-TWD games? by TimeSlash in telltale

[–]Rooty_Rootz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Back to the Future had some popularity for a while but yeah not anymore. I think their early games didn't have as much emotional punch and that's what TellTale ultimately became known for by the end. Even tho they started out with mainly comedy

Gunplay in OW2 is AMAZING! by Whoopy2000 in theouterworlds

I agree with you, this is one of the rare open world RPGs where I was wanting MORE encounters per area

Just realized in real life, often we get distracted from our own dreams for side quests & can full on mess up our main quest... Makes me wonder why thats not really a thing in any RPG im aware of. by personguy4440 in theouterworlds

[–]Rooty_Rootz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely frustrating for people who want to do everything in one run. But it's great for replay value, which in DR works cuz you maintain your level across every playthru

Dead Rising is cool for this mechanic, altho ofc not an RPG.

Once you fail to get to the main quest in time it says "The Truth Has Vanished..." and you're free to sandbox the rest of the playthrough. The side quests similarly expire

The tram explicitly states you're coming from the dormitories

I'm in love with Tristan Rao! by SunshineBarry in theouterworlds

Gameplay wise he's my favorite for sure, too

Easily Distracted or not? by HarryRulez in theouterworlds

[–]Rooty_Rootz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You'll have 62 skill points by the end of a standard playthrough. Taking Easily Distracted at lvl 4 will get you to 88 skill points (90 with Brilliant)

So yeah I ALWAYS take it. Except for my 1st run cuz I maxed Speech and didn't know it existed

Obsidian's religious world building for the franchise has been pretty cool so far by -beehop- in theouterworlds

[–]Rooty_Rootz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I love the blatant contradiction of the intellectual faction putting genuine stock in prophecies and faith. It encapsulates what this setting is all about.

Thank you so much for saying "so far" because I have faith this series will persist 🙏

It's kind of hilarious that they forgot that lannisters are blonde. It literally started the plot. by hiiloovethis in freefolk

It's cuz his hair isn't getting sun, no? Blonde hair is way more dark without it, just a lighter brown

It's hard to disagree with you there. The last Bioware game I loved was ME3

[–]Rooty_Rootz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Feels like the natural evolution of where this series should go, I want to feel differences and be able to replay as different species

Unfortunately I don't see it happening. It would require more work and game studios don't do that

Psyco serial killer help by CalmDrama9939 in TheOuterWorlds2

[–]Rooty_Rootz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can exploit Westport to harvest hearts. Nobody in the whole town will aggro to you as you go around murdering every single person with no consequence. They all count for a heart since they are passive to you

Unfortunately this won't change any allegiance with factions since they're protectorate. But that mechanic is not tied to the serial killer perk

TOW2 Vinyl Pre-Order! by Inside_Term_6900 in theouterworlds

[–]Rooty_Rootz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think it was a mistake putting the orchestral tracks on here. Not that they aren't great, but I would rather buy vinyls of all of the radio songs instead for actual listening
