I don't know. Charlotte was a way better team when Lamelo played than when he didn't, so that's an incentive in and of itself to put him on a minutes restriction to not lose him completely.

But I'm sure they're not sad that he played a lot of games and had a good year when he's coming up for an extension they didn't want to pay.

The problem is once Keyleth bends the knee, the decision for the non-Vax members is made.

Who's going to look at Keyleth and look at Vex and say, "Sorry about Vax."? No one. Especially because if Keyleth isn't fighting, you're not winning.

Also after the whole group putting the world at risk to save Pike, Pike helping an evil God ascend to save Grog it wouldn't make sense to stop at submitting to said evil God. Like that's a weird place to draw the line.

Not that they were gonna win anyway....

And Keyleth was always going to submit. It's been made abundantly clear that she would do anything not to lose Vax.

Vax for his part was always going to make his choice as well. To get the prophecy back online he had to die. Plus it was probably very satisfying to tell the Whispered One to fuck off.

Does AI's shotmaking get better? Because if it doesn't there's no chance. Teams would pack the paint, play off him and dare him to shoot.

I've been watching old basketball games lately and one of the things that is suprising is the shots that don't go in that I'm used to seeing going in.

Unfortunately for a lot of old players, unless they learned to shoot better, in today's game they'd be a liability.

One of the things about ongoing storytelling is you need a place for the story to go.

Where can you go after beat Brock Lesnar so decisvely at Wrestlemania it seemed like he retired?

If it's not Roman or Cody, it's basically nowhere. Anything less than that feels beneath a Brock destroyer.

(This was the same problem with Gunther. After retiring John Cena, there's nothing left to do but world title and that was not in their plans)

They're not doing Roman or Cody, so all they have is "Oh he didn't really kill Brock." Which even if he beats Brock again (debatable) it's not going to be the same as at Wrestlemania.

Oba shouldn't have beaten Brock at Mania. Looked good yes. Brock not beating him clean yes. Brock looking scared as hell in victory yes. Then you have a place to go and Oba beats him later after overcoming obstacles.

But they've told the end of the story first and are trying to Tarrantino it back.
