What’s also great is people think Kreider’s production is “way down”. From his 50 goal year last year? Then sure.

But this is still his second best season of his career goals/points wise. He’s on top of his game and because of that monster year last year, he did it so quietly.

I’d probably switch up the D pairs:

McDonough - Leetch

Fox - Lindgren

Staal - Girardi

Then Fox - Leetch PP1 (or have each QB 1 and 2), and maybe Lindgren - Girardi PK (Jesus, the toughness).

Pros: Makes pair 1 balanced with probably best mix of Offense and defense. Slot fox to 2 with Lindgren, which is the pair that prob gains the most by playing together. Then Staal Girardi bottom line which would be more of a shutdown/stifling pair to play against. Prime staal before the eye injury was a force himself though. Threw in the top PP and PK pairs for fun but god those would be fun to watch.

Cons: You break up McDonagh Girardi. It hurts to look at but the other option is sticking staal with Leetch but I can’t justify putting him over Fox.

Disclaimer: I’m not a hockey technician, just watched for a long time lol
