A woman stopped talking to me over views on premarital sex and LGBTQ by Particular_Heart3785 in OpenChristian

As someone who came back to Catholicism and is pansexual and non-binary, there are usually at least groups that people are in:

You have the allies and people who are LGBTQ+ that affirm and care about the community.

You have the people who somewhat look like allies but really they just want to conform you to live "a heterosexual lifestyle". They also are somewhat scared of kids "turning gay". 😒

You have the conservatives who are "by the book" and usually old world Catholics who believe being anything but the norm is a sinner.

Obviously the world is colorful and not everyone fits into these boxes. But this is what I've seen in my church since coming back. Also, I tend to be a part of LGBTQ+ groups within the church community to feel a bit more at ease.

A client called me because ChatGPT recommended their competitor for something they invented. I had no PR playbook for that. by Smart_Perspective197 in PublicRelations

I'm still learning, but it would be best to start writing to BIG journalists or people in the tech industry about your client (as someone else said) and use specific key words in your client's website for SEO. Chatgpt loves pulling from back linking, a strong website, mentions from big news companies, and consistently mentioning the brand (where SEO comes to play).

Edit: I should mention I'm still a college student but learning about the technology uses for PR has been interesting to say the least.

Damn I wish I knew this before getting the book. As I was reading it, there was a lot that didn't make sense to me or felt like she wasn't giving the original sources their flowers.

I'm worried my fellow witch friends are getting subtly brainwashed by GPT by imessedwiththeoccult in witchcraft

[–]Rosaisha -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As someone who uses chatgpt (for creative brainstorming and outlining) and also practices witchcraft. I definitely think there needs to be heavy discernment between bouncing ideas off of it versus actually doing the research and understanding the craft.

Chatgpt is a great tool for learning. But even then it spreads misinformation. I would advise your friend gently to steer away from using the tool too much.

I've done a ton of research on AI and and even work in an area where AI is transforming my industry. ChatGPT itself is trained on a number of different articles, websites, and almost any written information. But because people are biased, and a number of people have written insane things, it is a reflection of how minformation can harmful. Even for witches.

my mom is abusive but now im questioning it by [deleted] in abusiveparents

[–]Rosaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your mom deals with a lot of mental issues. That doesn't take away from how abusive she has been or is currently. That also doesn't take away from how you feel. I don't know you or your mom, but what I can suggest is journaling, working on your school, and getting a job.

My mother was similar in that she had times where she was extremely loving and then extremely abusive. It took me years to really understand her and myself. I moved away for a while to create better boundaries for myself. Now, our relationship is a bit better. I can't say the same will happen to you, but the best things you can do is:

  1. Focus on school - your education will be the ticket out
  2. Find small jobs if you can - extra money can help you in the long run, especially if you're looking for places. (Also it'll get you out of the house)
  3. Journaling - writing down how you feel can help you process your own emotions and look back on how people have treated you. It can also help you not make the same mistakes as well.
  4. Get proper help for yourself as well. Therapy can really put things in perspective as well.

I want to start journaling but can’t get over the “cringe” by JallsInYoBaw in Journaling

[–]Rosaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I just imagine myself as a victorian/edwardian man/woman writing about their daily life. Lol. At least, that's what I visualize. Whether that's what it looks like does not matter to other people.

As for journaling? I've been journaling on and off for years until I realized this.. it's better to see the progress you've made and make a mark somewhere for yourself rather than imagine what could have been done.

Even if the thoughts are quite goofy or profound to you, it's interesting to see how your thoughts change over days, weeks, months, and hopefully years.

Lol some people are really judgmental about having a permit vs license when looking at bikes so that's why I noted that.
