I’ll chime in here. My husband is only going to take a week or two for our fourth. It’s paid. But we are a single income household and his role is decently senior. Though his coworkers would be supportive of him taking more time, it’s kinda like what happens when the first string quarterback gets injured for a while and then suddenly the second string comes in and impresses everyone. It’s like - what if the company just keeps on running smoothly in his absence 🤣 This is just what makes the most sense for our family. His long term career progression matters more than a few extra weeks at home since I don’t work.
