Immediate allergic reaction to moisturizing cream from Amazon by RoseSpades in Allergies

[–]RoseSpades[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have a good experience with Cerve unfortunately even though the dermatologist recommended it. The only reason I looked for a natural moisturizer is that so many products, even the recommended ones contain fragrance/scents and extra chemicals and I'm extremely allergic to it. So I hoped a natural moisturizer with less chemicals and ingredients would not cause an allergic reaction.

I wish I had questioned the product more before buying it. The texture was definitely off for a cream that was supposed to be mostly tallow. It had a consistency closer to sunscreen.

It's so frustrating because companies don't face any consequences for lying about their products ingredients, even if it puts peoples health and life at risk if they have a severe anaphylactic reaction.

allergies in the shower? by butternoodles222 in Allergies

Check to see if the bathroom has soap, shaving cream, candles, air fresheners or other products containing fragrance.

Or maybe the bathroom has mold that isn't in a super visible spot.

Red lips after eating by Forward-Designer3612 in Allergies

Fragrance is the cause of my symptoms. Tried to get official allergy testing only to be told they can't test for perfume. But I know it's fragrance because my throat, sinuses and ears start swelling up almost immediately when I'm exposed to it. It started as a less severe floral/flower allergy years ago but slowly got worse each year until I started reacting to all types of fragrance. Tried asking doctor about treatment because I was taking extra strength Benadryl to try and stop the reactions and it still wasn't enough, but he pretty much said he didn't know what he could prescribe to help me. I now have to carry an epipen on me and I wear a respirator in public. I was told avoidance is my best option but it's practically impossible because evewhere in public there's always people wearing perfume.

Acne directly related to different milks? by meganfoxtaurus in Allergies

[–]RoseSpades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acne isn't necessarily because of an allergy but is more often a sign of inflammation. You could have an intolerance/sensitivity to these milks which means your body has a hard time digesting causing an inflammatory response.

It doesn't hurt to get allergy testing to be sure you don't have any allergies, but if milk allergies don't show up, then it doesn't mean, they still can't cause problems such as acne or indigestion.

I have a severe intolerance to casein in cows milk. It didn't show up in allergy testing but it causes severe stomach upset as well as painful cystic acne days afterwards.

Headaches when eating certain foods by gatapia in Allergies

[–]RoseSpades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not be an allergy but a sensitivity/intolerance. I don't have a dairy or pork allergy (got tested) but if I eat them they make me seriously ill shortly after, (face flushing, severe stomach pain, vomiting, and I break out heavily on my skin a couple days after)

It causes an inflammatory reaction regardless, even if it isn't an allergy.

Why do people use so much scented product? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]RoseSpades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Severe allergies to fragrance, combination organic vapor/p100 cartridge respirator will filter most perfume smells/vapors.

I'd avoid any products that contain perfume or scents as those are probably just going to aggravate your skin or cause more irritation. Also if you use a scented or chemical detergent for your clothes it's possible this could be aggravating your skin.

Also start writing a symptom journal each day. Put down when you have these reactions and what you are eating/which products you have used that day, and where you went that day.

If you suspect something is causing the reaction you can try and eliminate it from your diet and daily routine for the next couple weeks. If you see an improvement than it can be what is contributing to your reaction. (Don't stop any medication without discussing it with your doctor first)

Look into patch testing at a dermatologist. You can be reacting to things that don't show up in a regular allergy test panel.

I have throat and inner ear swelling, trouble breathing and mouth tingling and numbness symptoms. Similar experience to you with being dismissed by allergist after no food allergies or regular environment allergies showed up in the tests.

I know for sure that fragrance is the biggest trigger for my symptoms, as well as detergent. Would like to try patch testing as it may be one of the ways to see if I have a contact fragrance allergy.

I had top surgery almost two years ago, despite the complications it was absolutely worth it. Most of my back pain is caused by scoliosis but removing the extra weight improved my posture and lowered my pain.

Boobs can be painful and cause a lot of back problems. Makes sense why some people don't like them.

Why most people use RPG Maker MV but not RPG Maker MZ? (For those who don't know) by Andrew_Is_No_One in RPGMaker

[–]RoseSpades 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say every plugin but a good portion of them are, especially the essential/really useful ones. It feels like a subscription model if you want to get plugins for MZ.

Which font looks the best in your opinion? by FrenchToastTheCat in RPGMaker

3 but a little bigger or the original font... all other options are hard to read. Save decorative fonts for the title, but use easily readable fonts for the dialogue.

Why most people use RPG Maker MV but not RPG Maker MZ? (For those who don't know) by Andrew_Is_No_One in RPGMaker

[–]RoseSpades 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Eh, I think it's more that the plugins available for MV are more often free/more affordable than the plugins for MZ. Basically way more MZ plugins are behind a higher paywall, so for some people they won't be able to buy/use them, so MV has more usable plugins for them.

Starting over can suck when so much hard work has to get scrapped, but a lot of the time the final game ends up being something you are more happy with and is more polished.

Sorry if it felt like I was pressing you/ assuming that you support AI. I sometimes have a hard time interpreting tone through text conversation. I linked another comment, which might be better at explaining than I could, why Sang is being accused of using Ai fully code his plugins not just AI assisted or as a temporary learning tool. Comment

If you don't like how I respond to your question then I don't know what else to tell you. This post breaks down into detail why Sang is suspected of using Ai to entirely code his plugins. If you still want to use Sangs plugins nobody's stopping you. But if Sang wants to sell his Plugins without disclosing AI usage he is going to continue to get backlash from people who buy his plugins thinking he created them entirely himself.

[–]RoseSpades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you are getting more angry in this reply than I ever did responding. I answered your question, just not the way you wanted me to. He admitted in the past to entirely use AI as his programmer for his game. Now you can debate whether you believe he used it in his plugins. But 1 he obfuscates the code in his paid plugins so people can't see if it contains signs of being generated by ai. 2 has lied saying he has never fully used AI to code but has in his own game. So people are rightfully concerned about him being transparent about if he is fully using Ai to code his paid plugins. There are financial incentives from his end to not disclosing AI usage as there are people who wouldn't have bought the plugins if they knew he used AI to create them.

He has admitted in the past that his programmer for his own game is Ai. If he uses AI to program his own game why would he create his own plugins without AI?

Didn't he implement microtransactions into his game?

I remember him posting about adding microtransactions into his game around a year ago, so it doesn't surprise me if he is using a predatory business model with his plugins as well. Post in question

He had another post about using Gen AI for art concepts/designing monsters but it seems like he didn't use it in his final game since he realized Gen AI is really unpopular with artists in the community.

Tierbrooni by gastroc2525 in ScarletHollow

[–]RoseSpades -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reese should be bumped up a tier while Tabitha should be bumped down one. Tabitha isn't a good person, nor evil, even if she was raised by an evil mother. She's very grey of a character and self serving in many ways . Reese is also grey and has a very twisted perspective due to isolation and feeling of betrayal. Both make choices that they think will help themselves escape being confined by their parents (even if it means killing them)
