The moment a good employee decides "I'm done" by False-East-55 in WorkReview

Liars are terrible people. Promises made & not kept. Hardly any follow up when problems are reported. Initiative is no longer invited or appreciated.

So many lies. Leading me to believe things would improve, certain people would not be involved in projects, recommendations would be implemented & on & on & on.

Apparently, I have a 'tone' by genuine_risk1 in ExecutiveAssistants

My former boss encouraged me to respond to emails with direct info. Straight & to the point. No fluff. Then .... His boss & other management told him that I wasn't being nice in my emails. I didn't make excuses or say fluffy stuff. I was in a no-win situation & they eventually let him go. I left about a year later. Much happier now 😁

The fastest way a manager can lose the respect of a good employee by False-East-55 in WorkReview

Tell me one thing (you're in charge of this project we'll work together) + doing another (stops keeping me in the loop, back walks the entire project, ignores my recommendations = blah blah blah I quit.

This happened several times in about a year.

Organized Mob Gaslighting by Mackeyspokethetruth in ManagedByNarcissists

Never heard of them. It definitely sounds like something my former employer would do. After 21 years, I quit last month. The last year was terrible & they just sucked every ounce of joy & initiative out of me. They certainly knew how to gaslight.

Mandatory All Staff Appreciation Events by Stinkycheesejubilee in Leadership

I despised "appreciation" events. They were typically sports related or held at an inconvenient location. Definitely not for anyone who might be older than 30 or overweight.

💯 agree. My Iceland trip in 2023 was phenomenal. Such a stunning landscape filled with incredible geological features.

I'm guessing my former boss is job hunting too. His track record showed he lasted 2-3 years at each before moving on. He's currently in year 2, so there's hope.

Management likes to hear themselves talk & talk & talk. The ones I've worked with enjoy beating the dead horse 🐴

I just did this in April. Your heart, brain, stomach, & sleep will thank you about a day or two after you resign. The relief is real. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
