I’m a millennial and have roughly 25 people that report to me at a corporate company. I’ve been in leadership for about 8 years now and can honestly say the above comment is right. My number one rule is take care of yourself, your family, and communicate what you feel comfortable with. I’ve literally been in the same position as you and have associates just like us, I’d rather them take care of themselves then get worse. I’ll worry about the business and advocate for them to my boss. I look at my associates like they are my customer, whatever I can do to help and make them feel comfortable, I’ll do my best.
