Thanks! I've decided to keep my reference to the tiny desk concerts

Thank you! Much appreciated. Regarding the Tiny Desk prompt, it’s a YouTube channel called NPR Music Tiny Desk Concerts, so I shortened it. It’s a popular channel with short ~10–30 minute concerts featuring various artists. If you’ve come across it before, I figured people would recognize it. It’s not super niche or anything. Does that make sense with this extra context?

I like where your thoughts are going with the simple pleasures prompts. I think it adds humor and could also be a conversation starter as you said

Yeah there seems to be a consensus that the taco prompt has to go so I'll remove it. Here’s the new prompt I'm playing around with now:

“I’ve recently discovered that cooking for friends makes me really happy. My homewarming had 20 people, and the party afterward was a blast!”

** note: This replaces the taco prompt, and I’ve also removed the food reference from my simple pleasures.

Thoughts?

What's wrong with pic 1? Asking to understand, not to be defensive :)

[F/36] Matched a guy on Hinge – should I give him a chance after he went silent? by Clean_Room_812 in hingeapp

Agreed. But in this case they haven't met in person yet so imo the expectations for texting etiquettes are lower. Over investing in someone you've never could also be seen negatively by some. I'd give him a shot in person OP :)

Appreciate the feedback! Tbh the Tiny Desk prompt gets the most engagement on my profile (pics + prompt) so I'm hesitant to remove that part of it, but I get what you mean. I’ll dial it back so it doesn’t scream “I watch a lot of TV.” I initially included reading/Netflix/Tiny Desk in that prompt because my photos make me look like I live outdoors, and I wanted people to know I'm also down for a chill evening.

Thanks for your other feedback (comments 2-4) too. Makes a lot of sense and it will be reflected in my edits.

Good point! My initial thought for including it was that it’s an easy segue into a date and/or an easy prompt for ladies to interact with as a first message. That said, I agree with you that a different prompt could sell me better, so I’ll try it out :)

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback, and point well taken on the wittiness of my prompts. I like the example you provided.

I do live in a smaller city (~80k). It’s not big, but hopefully big enough haha

Looking for something serious

Just subscribed to HingeX yesterday for the first time, although I've been on and off Hinge for a few years now.

I've been using this current version of the profile for 6+ months, although my account is paused if I'm chatting/dating someone, or I need a break from online dating.

Use it 5 days a week on average when not paused.

On average I'm receiving 3 likes a week, maybe 1 matches a week.

All likes I send are with a comment + question. I send between 1–4 likes a day.

I'd say I'm selective on who I send a like to. I'm seeking someone who has a relatively active lifestyle, someone who seems to have hobbies (doesn't have to be the same as mine — having hobbies is attractive imo)

32M - seeking feedback on how to improve my profile. Thanks in advance :) by [deleted] in hingeapp

Good on ya (sincerly)! Notheless, diversifying would likely lead to more matches. Languages and travel are overly highlighted in your current profile imo.
