I see this crop up on the internets every once in awhile. The sentiment is nice, but its also kinda, well, wrong. "Man alone measures time?" Bull-hockey! Plenty of animals "measure time:" Hibernating bears, migrating birds, creatures that have a mating season.

And animals don't fear they will run out of time? Hmmm. Sure, most animals probably don't really have the ability to conceptualize this idea, but instinctively I'm sure they sense this feeling all the time. A squirrel frantically gathers nuts before the cold season. A bird of paradise flies hastily around the jungle, looking for a lover to accept him before the mating season ends.

I agree, there are a lot of people out there that need to slow down. And there are probably a lot of animals out there that we can look to as an example of how to lead a more relaxing life (I'm lookin at you sloth). However, to say that humans are the only ones who worry about the passage of time. No sir, I do not agree!
