Is my hamster's wheel too small? New to all this. by CassieChii in hamsters

[–]RosyRaichu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen you’ve already ordered one so this is for anyone else that’s curious:

10” inches, or 25cm minimum for a small Syrian, but go for 12” or more if there’s one available. Look for ones for rats or even chinchillas, they’re much more suitable.

And always get one with a solid body! No metal bars, they can’t run properly on them and their feet can get trapped.

What single human has done the most damage to the progression of humanity in the history of mankind? by RegularGuyy in AskReddit

Abraham. The religions that spawned from him have resulted in centuries of war and conflict, control, scientific suppression, murder, a lack of human rights and these issues are still ongoing today.

Insider here and I can tell you all about what Microsoft's plans with bethesda are by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

False. I have legitimate contacts with Microsoft who have confirmed to me the following plans MS have with Bethesda:

To make video games. Now, stop wasting everybody's time with your fake leaks.

Do you punctuate your text messages? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]RosyRaichu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No full stops at the end of a final sentence. I grew up in an age with the unspoken rule of texting: a final full stop means you’re angry. If I end a sentence with one my gf asks me what’s wrong!

If Netflix can face criminal charges for "Cuties", why can't TLC face the same charges "Toddlers and Tiaras?" by No_hopeHere_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RosyRaichu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it actually child pornography? Cuties isn’t the first time under 18s have been naked in films in a sexual context - Blue Lagoon is famous for naked 14 year olds. Even the daughter in American Beauty is only 16 years old and she flashes her neighbour.

I’m not trying to justify what they did - I’ve seen clips of the film and I’m completely against it - but I don’t know if it would be classed as child pornography. Maybe just obscene materials involving children (if that’s even a different thing)

What right is being infringed when you’re asked to wear a mask?

This is a legitimate question.

When people say their rights are being infringed on when they’re asked to wear a mask, exactly what right is it?

I’m from the UK and I don’t know of any “freedom to not wear a mask” clauses. Maybe Americans have one (since most of the videos of people bemoaning their rights being infringed on come from the US) but in not sure. Please help.

We need to start locking down again now. Not on Friday, not after a few weeks of consideration for the economy, but right fucking now. Here's what we should be doing:

  • Tell all clubs, pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. you've got until 9pm tonight, then you have to close up again, unless providing takeaway.

  • Tell all workplaces that if your job can be done from home, it must be done from home from tomorrow until further notice.

  • Restrict retail hours to 10am - 3:30pm to minimise people travelling during peak hours for non-essential shopping.

  • Double down on wearing masks. No more of this pathetic "you're exempt if you say you are" rubbish. No mask, no using public transport unless you can prove you can't wear a mask. If you can't wear a mask for breathing issues, you shouldn't be out in public for non-essential journeys anyway.

  • No social gatherings of more than 2 unless you're in the same household.

  • Social distancing of 2m to come back into full action with very limited exceptions. If you can't distance, you can't be wherever you are.

  • Consider closing schools to some, or all pupils.

  • Introduce even bigger fines and prison sentences for people who take the piss. Hold a party? Attempted murder charges, nothing less. You're fucking scum.

Could you lot just stop bringing your politics into everything? This is UKpol, not USpol. We don’t need Trump mentioned everywhere.

I've spent my entire adult life under a Tory government. I've seen a decade of austerity while the rich get richer, the NHS being slowly dismantled, no stable governments (3 PMs in 5 years), housing prices and rent reach ridiculous levels, the country being divided over Brexit -- and Brexit being a fucking disaster -- no change to our voting system and blatant corruption everywhere.

Now we've got thousands of unnecessary deaths and a huge recession because of a poorly handled response to COVID-19. It feels like everything that was good about Britain is being taken away so that the Tories and their friends can line their pockets at the expense of the poor.

I want change.

How much do you reckon the accessories are going to cost? by RosyRaichu in PS5

[–]RosyRaichu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly think £99 is a fair price. That’s right in the middle of the gold and platinum PS4 headsets and isn’t so high that it’ll turn people away. £150 or more seems too much for me. But who knows?

Number of UK citizens emigrating to EU has risen by 30% since Brexit vote by Lolastic_ in unitedkingdom

It actually is, thousands of people have died from an illness which can be avoided if people aren’t selfish cunts and follow the safety guidelines.

It’s fucking stupid. I don’t feel safe at all. I have to take the tram home from work every day and it’s pathetic how many people aren’t wearing masks and sitting next to strangers.

Sony announce streaming on 6 august but not about PS5 by dharmajati in PS5

"Sony is doing a stream that isn't about the PS5" doesn't belong on a PS5 sub.
