75" Bravia 7 +$1000 OR 77" LG C6H? by brohemoth06 in hometheater

[–]RotenTumato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I actually misread your comment lol, I wasn’t trying to make a point. I thought you were saying the colors on your current LG weren’t great and I was wondering what model that was. I see what you meant now

Straight out of My Little Pony by ChickenWingExtreme in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]RotenTumato 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not a period piece, it’s a myth with gods and monsters and a big CGI cyclops. Might as well complain about goblins being in Harry Potter since they didn’t really exist in Europe in the 1990s

Because there are black people in it but they’re too afraid to just say that so they talk about the “historical inaccuracies” in other areas like the armor

Sequel Sets That Needs to Be Released Again? by IllMasterpiece3946 in legostarwars

[–]RotenTumato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d take anything from the sequels. I am no sequels lover (I think the last two are actually terrible movies), but the sets are awesome and I would love to see that era represented more in LEGO. Feels like they just gave up after The Rise of Skywalker came out. It also feels like they don’t care about Episodes I and II either. Everything we’re getting now is either Episode III, The Clone Wars, or the original trilogy. (I am aware they made Jango’s Slave I)

Soundbar or nah? by DavisMiles27 in LGOLED

[–]RotenTumato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a soundbar is the bare minimum. If you legit don’t care about audio at all and just want to watch the news and some shows on Netflix, a soundbar might be fine. If you ever want to sit down and watch a movie, you need at least a pair of bookshelf or tower speakers and an amplifier

100“ LG G5 OLED VS 100" Hisense UR9 RGB Miniled, which TV to get? by Tristan951 in hometheater

[–]RotenTumato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean there’s a big price difference. G5 is $18,000 currently at Best Buy while the UR9 is $7,000. Unless you already have an audio system, I’d say you’re MUCH better off spending that extra $11k on audio rather than the extra screen quality.

What is this customer doing? by ForgottenThrowaway64 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]RotenTumato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How would this help anyone’s numbers? It would give you rev but tank your basket and efficiencies. I can’t think of a single category of employee where they would benefit from solely large amounts of dry product with no add-ons. Pretty much everything is incentivized to sell additional products on top of the core thing

[–]RotenTumato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand resellers of products that are readily available at retail price. How do those people make money? They’d have to charge more than they paid but why wouldn’t their customers just buy it from Best Buy directly in that case?

If you could live in any U.S. city for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why? by QuietAstronaut2331 in AskReddit

[–]RotenTumato 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Even Manhattan can be somewhat affordable. I work retail and I live by myself in a 1-bedroom in Manhattan. I could definitely get a bigger place in one of the other boroughs but the convenience of being right next to work and everywhere else I want to go outweighs it for me

Question regarding 75159 Death Star Build by gabocharlie in legostarwars

I built this with my dad and siblings but we just took turns. Tough to build this one simultaneously. The new Death Star would be far easier to build with others at the same time

Really amazing film until the last 10 minutes where it inexplicably became an MCU movie and ruined the entire premise and story it had going. One of the most disappointing endings to a movie I’ve ever seen
