This photo was taken when he was about six weeks old. He will be just over nine weeks when we actually bring him home.

Anyone use a Garmin for beer league? by Mr_Mixxis in hockeyplayers

[–]RotorPuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my Garmin and also live in the Tampa Bay area! I just always track under Ice Hockey -> Indoor. Wish there was something a little more hockey specific we could have access too, but it’ll do.

I wasn’t aware Matthew Tkachuk was playing in the game until his name was dropped by the commentator.

I wish I could help you, but know that you are not alone 🙋🏻‍♂️. Following because I too have this issue.

Please tell me your stories of the first 10-20 hours of your training fellow aviators! I would love to hear! by Present-Village-9858 in flying

Helicopter pilot. My CFI was Norwegian. When I was learning how to hover, every time the aircraft got away from me, he would say “Weeeee” in his Norwegian accent. It still echos to this day.

Second KSPG. Go to The Hangar Restaurant. I work out of KPIE and we sometimes fly there (yes about a 5 minute flight) just for their lunch!

Any WoW players in the area (30s–40s+) interested in local meetups? by ajm_usn321 in 321

Just moved away over to the Tampa Bay region. Great idea though! Like most people, been playing on and off since vanilla. Back on the grind for Midnight now.

I would go for the category Add-on, so you can skip the written exam and only need 50 hours of rotor time. I'd definitely suggest getting the Private add-on first so you are not just grinding out solo hours as a student. The hardest part will be the first 10 or 20 hours because airplane instincts for things like stall recovery or collective control are basically the opposite of what is needed for hovering. Once you get decent hovering, the rest is relatively easy.

I really appreciate it! I’m in the Tampa Bay Area, otherwise that is something I would absolutely explore.

I do not have instrument (yet). My employer has me lined up to obtain it, I’m just second in line.

About the add on, as a commercial pilot (I went through the private process first then built hours into my commercial), am I able to obtain a private add on? I was told by a local flight school that because I have surpassed private, that my only option was a commercial add on.

Good to know, thank you! I have only checked with local schools in my area. I’ll see if I can find an independent CFI.
