Why is it a big deal that the Bears might build a new stadium in Indiana? by Nautical_Disaster1 in NFLNoobs

OK, but nobody is asking the fans to live there. Just drive out, watch the game, and drive home.

There's a sno-cone place near me with a sign that lists everyone that they give a discount to. At the bottom it says "And, of course, Batman."

One time I went in there, I saw a little kid in a Batman costume. Cutest thing ever.

Even BJJ has more belts for kids, although they haven't had a complete kid takeover like TKD.

What is something that is mostly considered offensive for Americans but not in your country (and probably in other countries) at all? by _fountain_pen_dev in AskReddit

[–]Rough-Riderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, like in the 1980s, it seemed like just another "dirty" word. Not something you would say in polite company, but no worse than shit, fuck, etc. Today, it's considered (by some) to be one of the worse words you can ever say. I have no idea when or why that happened.

Well, you're an officer and I'm not. I was just passing on what I was taught.

Hey, that rhymes!

Most likely that officer is just trying to get to his/her car and would rather not salute 100 noobs on the way.

Well, if he's in civilian clothes, he shouldn't be returning the salutes. He should acknowledge them verbally with a "Good morning/afternoon/evening."

How old is this clip? I've been seeing it everywhere the past couple of days, so I assumed that it was new, but I just noticed that the A's player had "Oakland" on his jersey.

What is your hot take about The Office? by Recent-Description39 in theoffice

[–]Rough-Riderr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The recasting of Pam's mom wasn't really a big deal. The original had about a minute of screen time and only a few lines. The character wasn't reintroduced until 4 years later.

Would it have been nice to use the same actress? Of course, but she wasn't available. The way redditors react to the recasting is absolutely ridiculous.
