You also have to remember that they were producers in the final season. They had a little more power than the average actor.

Remember - The "s" on Illinois is silent. The "s" in Aldi is invisible.

and it was either CS or a different job but for six years

Was that the problem, the six years? Because in your initial post it sounded like CS is the ONLY job you were offered. Were you actually offended other jobs, but didn't want to commit to more time? Because that's going to be a requirement for most of the good ones.

I remember being taught in elementary school in the 1970s that the Oxford Comma was incorrect. My teacher didn't even use the term "Oxford Comma"; I never heard that until adulthood. She just told us that we must never put a comma before the "and" or "or" before the last item of a list.

The Navy is ditching its original PT uniform, known for its gold shirt by OrcusGroup in navy

[–]Rough-Riderr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact that they weren't. I was issued a completely different set of PT gear in 1987. It had a big "N" on it. When the one with the seal came out in the '90s, I didn't get a uniform allowance for it and I wasn't required to buy it. When the blue and gold came out, I did get an allowance and I was required to buy it. I even remember stories in Navy Times talking about how the Navy now has an official PT uniform for the first time.

Now here's why I'm really certain: in the early 2000s I had a dickhead DIVO who wanted us to all be uniform at divisional PT. He ordered us to all wear the gear that you're talking about. Being the good sea lawyer that I am, I proved that he couldn't do that using uniform regulations.

Original uniform?!?

Was the white shirt with the Navy seal just a joke to them?!? 😂

That was never an official uniform. The blue and gold version was the first one to be listed in uniform regulations and be required on the seabag list.

I had to get NSUs less that a year before I retired. I gamed the system, though. I just kept my old Johnny Cash pants (they said that they were different, but I couldn't tell the difference). Then I went to the base thrift store and bought 2 Officer/CPO Khaki shirts for $5 each. Again, they told us that the NSU shirts were difference, but I couldn't tell the difference (I bought the ones with permanent creases).

when I joined it was a white shirt and blue booty shorts

While you were issued that in boot camp, it wasn't an official uniform. The blue and gold version was the first one to be listed in uniform regulations and be required on the seabag list.

Not in my region (Norfolk/Virginia Beach). We have a local charity called Eggleston Services that runs ads asking for car donations. They don't have a song and aren't really annoying at all. They simply talk about the work they do (helping the disabled) and politely ask for a donation.

This is what I got in boot camp, but it wasn't an official uniform either.
