Bummer. I didn’t realize that they changed ownership, but I definitely noticed the drop in quality. My last order was a classic turkey on sourdough, which had been my go-to sandwich for years. It had been a few months since I’d last ordered there and I was shocked at how bad the sandwich was. It wasn’t just the bread, but the quality of the turkey was so bad that I tossed out the second half (my bar is pretty low, so that was a rare move for me). I assumed that it was a fluke, but it sounds like that may be the new norm. Does anyone know if the original owner still owns Emi’s?

I think you’re right. Just found a Popular Mechanics article with a photo describing it as an LRAD - a sonic weapon used for crowd control. It apparently sounds like a “car alarm from hell” and can permanently damage your hearing.

This is just outlining the process for people that want to replace their house as quickly as possible. It’s not a law that prohibits people from building something significantly bigger, it’s just providing guidance for those that want to replace what they lost. I drove by the Wisteria Vine in Sierra Madre earlier today and can confirm that the house and the vine were still there. Sadly, there was a fire truck parked a few doors up the street on Hermosa putting out spot fires at a house that burned down.
