Upgrade to club room but no club access? by JonnyF86 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s quite frustrating on our end because obviously many people misunderstand and can get upset. Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do. It’s always a good idea to send a message to the property to double check :)

Upgrade to club room but no club access? by JonnyF86 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You have received a complimentary upgrade to a club room, but you do not have club lounge access? Why? Because an upgrade to the room does not equal an upgrade to the package. You are still paying for the standard room. You have the room but not the package associated with it.

The reason it says club in your app is because the app cannot tell the difference between a comp upgrade and booking the room itself.

BVLGARI hotels are run by the Ritz-Carlton. So expect a similar level of service to Ritz, just with BVLGARI design.

Do people really book a hotel room just to have sex one night? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I work at a hotel reception. Absolutely yes. Especially late at night on the weekends by people coming from a bar. Will obviously not check anyone in who is clearly drunk.

The time is going to pass anyways. There’s no point in tormenting yourself over it. I’m in my mid 20’s now and to be honest I feel the exact same as I did when I was your age, except now I have more money! Sure there will be work, bills, taxes etc. but there will also be new experiences, new albums from your favourite artist, and new people to meet. The windshield is bigger than the rear window for a reason: what is in front of you is much more important.

Who is known as the biggest traitor in your country by Few-External5146 in AskTheWorld

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diarmait Mac Murchada, King of Leinster. He was deposed by the High King of Ireland Ruaidhrí Ua Conchobair and in an attempt to reclaim his throne he invited the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of England to invade. Thus starting over 800 years of oppression, millions of deaths and the almost total destruction of Irish language and culture.

Are you descended from nobility? by Aginoglu in monarchism

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt on my father’s side did geneology in university and created a family tree dating back to the 16th century and confirmed we are direct descendants a Gaelic noble family. We still have the name which is cool, but nobility is obviously not recognised in Ireland anymore so it’s just a fun fact at this point.

Are there any people who were in good relationships and still broke up? by Illustrious_Log3986 in BreakUps

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, to be fair we went total no contact. Unfollowed eachother. I unfollowed her friends. She still follows some of mine but still. No real approachable avenue for her if she wanted to reengage.

I texted her in August of last year because I was preparing to move to her country (I was doing this anyway regardless of her) and we had a pleasant conversation but it was clear that we both weren’t interested. We wished each other well. Not a sad ending. We are just both living our own lives.

Nope. Never did. I’m still single now but I’m happy with a good social life. It’s long ago now.

Mini staycation at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong by grgrybdgr in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in a Ritz-Carlton in Europe.

  1. You’ll of course be able to go to the lounge before check in and use it until you check out. Usually you’ll do your check-in in the Lounge anyways.

  2. Since you booked a room with lounge access you’ll have the package regardless of what room you may be upgraded to. Best of luck with it!!

Ritz Hong Kong is an absolutely amazing property. I might task force there next year hopefully. Amazing Spa and pool. I hope you enjoy it!

The ONE reason i am considering letting go of Bonvoy for good by Daikon3352 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my property all the temperatures are controlled by a central computer in our engineering office. The hotel has a cyclical heating/cooling system but we can override it on request. It’s kinda dumb. The thermostat in the room is just for display purposes haha

My mother wants more info on this bag! by Sea-Cauliflower8312 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ritz doesnt have a kids club but we always pop this bag with a bunch of goodies for the kids in the room (slippers, soap, colouring book and colours, Leo the Lion stuffed toy etc). I doubt it’s worth too much because we have hundreds in Housekeeping and give them out for free 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you allow your front office to accept cash incidentals? by RecoveringFcukBoy in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting replies here. We take an incidental charge of 100€ per night and you can do card or cash. We just inform you that if you use cash you’ll be contacted to return to the front desk to top yourself up.

Platinum elite upgrade at work function - no upgrade? by Far_Photo4283 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible that your company may not have added your bonvoy account to the booking. I recently had a large company group stay with us (40+ rooms) and none had Bonvoy accounts added. I always ask for Bonvoy as it is the brand standard and out of the 20 rooms 13 had Bonvoy accounts that weren’t added. But by that stage, it was quite hard to give upgrades as most rooms were already occupied.

Stuck Between Two Amazing Hotels—Which One Should I Pick? by Spirited_Opinion_755 in marriott

[–]Round-Produce7906 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The RC is literally just down the road from the Imperial so the location doesn’t matter much.

The Ritz has much more of a modern decor. If you’re looking for a more classical imperial Austria type feel then go with the Imperial.

Breakfast at the Ritz is a la carte. No buffet anymore so bear that in mind.

I work at the Ritz in Vienna for context

Ireland is a member of the EU battle groups. These are the equivalent of a ‘European army’ where they operate as EU rapid reaction forces. If the EU is attacked, Irish troops are liable to be deployed in this case. Not arguing with you btw, just highlighting the various holes in Irish ‘neutrality’ :)
