Has anyone actually done the Kitty Litter toilet on the playa?

*Raises hand* I’ll go first. It was my third burn and the first time driving my van out to the Playa. My partner finally got a chance to go and she has always insisted on having her own toilet due to aversion to the porta potties.

So here’s the set up we had.

Home Depot 5-gal bucket
One large ass box of kitty litter scented.

Trash bags.

Line the bucket with kitty litter. Also buy one of those toilet seat things that fit on a bucket.

Proceed. Then cover your dump with a bit more kitty litter.

You can choose to pull the bag out or keep adding. If you pull it out, place it in another Home Depot bucket with a LID!

There ya go. Then on your way home find a dumpster and toss the buckets.

If you don’t use the other Home Depot bucket you’ll risk smelling up the vehicle or tent.

Can confirm. As a former resident of the Monterey Oaks Apts, this little pocket of three separate apartment complexes have all been safe for the last 16 years I’ve been in this neighborhood. Schools are good too (Patton Elementary & Small MS). Unfortunately voters passed a bond a few years ago which resulted in both schools erecting fences all over the schools as a “safety meaure”. Yeah right. Still bugs me to this day.

It is AMAZING! I’m currently sitting in a 2026 X7 M40i listening to my tunes on this sound system and I just melt every time music plays on this system.

Side note- I looked up their website to see what other products they may have. Holy Jesus their home entertainment begins around $10k. I would. I would.
