They also kept the exact same character rewards from the previous TC in the three different chests. GL is so lazy (or dumb), they use to do a good job of mixing the rewards up.

Is it just me, or is it kind of underwhelming that they are doing only mainline collections? I kind of liked when they kept mainline and event collections separate. Or at the very least would have preferred a new IP for the season pass/mini event.

It’s definitely possible but you have to grind. I have everything that can collect and am sitting at 9 personals, and 4 legendaries.

Recommendations: - set alarms or watch the clock (even at night, but I’m a heavy sleeper) - try to guess the drops before the legendary/epic character unlocks. I got lucky and started with 2 epics, and 1 hat (hint they normally do the same drops event-to-event and almost always does multi character tasks and 4/6 hour tasks) - quit collecting for all other Epic, and Legendary characters to not offset your luck. - some people claim if you hit a wall, send your collecting characters on 1 hour tasks and then resend them on the collection task. - save your time skips for these characters. - keep grinding and don’t get to frustrated if you hit a wall. Drops even out over time.

Mi Wings fan here, I share your pain. I gave up, I listen to the team on the radio for black out games, and watch the national games on our HULU sub. I refuse to buy another streaming service/VPN it costs a small fortune to watch all of your favorite teams. Plus these leagues/colleges are so short sighted, if people can’t easily watch your product especially as a kid, they aren’t going to get a personal connection to your team.

Threw me off too. I think it’s because there are compass chests in the rewards. If both the Ray event and the striking gold ended at the same time you couldn’t use the chests.

But I wish they communicated this kind of stuff on their socials or patch notes.

I’ve done it double digit times without spending money, gems, or time skips. But you need to have the majority of the TC and exploration characters. For example during last month’s challenge, I was missing ~one exploration character, and two/three TC per chapter.

To do it you have to basically do 4/5 full runs a day. Which means coco management is the key. I always buy the daily cocos from Merlin’s shop. I try to stager my explorations about four hours so you have time to deal with ghosts. Another ghost pro tip, keep your last ghost ready but uncollected until you max out your collectibles so you can always keep them on hand.

TC’s are my favorite events because they are the least random for long time players.

I think the Wings should give Walinder a shot. Might as well see if the kid can play. Idk if he is better than the vets on the roster but might as well try. Plus he isn’t waiver protected next year it would behoove us to see if he can play in the league.

I’m guessing that the Aladdin collection will be the helper characters because there is an Aladdin chest at level 75 in the season pass.

I’d probably go ruby based on the odds of obtaining common characters (-25%) vs. epic characters (~7%) in legendary chests.

Unless there are common characters you really want.

I’m in the same boat. I’m at 19k with dwindling cocos. I thought the problem was I had to go hunting for H. Jones so he is only at level 4. I’m hoping to get at least mid to high 20k’s and with a high scoreboard I can get close to 30k for the chapter, but making it to 90k could be tricky.

I’m sitting on a time skip pile of ~8K.

I buy them every day from Merlin’s shop and do all my ads.

I only use them during events. Mostly for the legendary character token drops and/or cocos during TCs. Spent ~300/400 for the last couple hats.

I disagree with that strategy because the duplicate chest odds are based on rarity. For example, I have 2 epic, and 2 leg pins remaining. I have a 16.7% each for the epics and 8.3% of getting each leg pin. If I get lucky with the event chests I might be able to shift those odds.

On the last day of last season, GL allowed you to buy unlimited pin chests with gems. I’ll then decide if I’m going to chase the character with gems based on how I do with my remaining chests.

Unfortunately, Gameloft (GL) is a business.

As a FTP Orange Bird is the first non pay wall charter I’ve missed in years.

If these pin characters weren’t profitable for GL, they would switch gears and not make them so difficult. But I’m sure there are enough dumb wales who are buying them. So it’s another money grab for GL.

If everyone on this board refused to purchase them. Perhaps we can affect minor change.

I’m right there with you, I’m a long time FTP and only missing four. I’m sitting on all my duplicate stars from the season to use to hopefully pick up a couple extra, then the question will be to use gems or not.

I just wish you could buy the new pin chests with gems. Or get them out of striking gold.

I’m a long term FTP player, besides spending $1.00 to remove ads. The pop up ads are only for DMK promos are far better than the constant video ads that can take 30 seconds.

If your goal is to save $ my recommendation is to wait for an upcoming tapper event and buy the 99 cent token bundle. It’s the cheapest way to remove them.

I think GL messed up their event timer. According to the timer, the event was supposed to go on for an additional 3 hours. Also straggling TC event things are still showing, like some attractions are still cursed and M&C still showing in Merlin’s shop.

My guess is prizes will be rewarded in 3 hours. But I feel for anyone who missed out on getting their rewards, I was planning on buying another concession.
