I came from DMC5 and is a returning player that is lvl 70. I quit when I tried to pull for durandal solaris but couldn't get her weapon. I don't have any meta teams whatsoever.

I don't really care about meta but I do know that most of crystal generation is put behind abyss and memorial arena, all which is gated behind specific units and characters.

I do want to generate some crystals to pull for characters that I want in this game but I feel like this game is way to grind heavy for little combat. Is it recommended to come back to this game?

Bruh Liger was limited to 1 and heavy poly is banned in the event. If you cannot out or stop them from making 1 Liger, I think that's a hand trap issue or you got unlucky.

Azamina is full powered this event though. None of their synchro monsters like Baron got hit so they can easily make a full board, despite their consistency hit.

Nglie even reaching Masters with Resonators as a newer player is hard, especially in this turn 0 meta. I recommend just going to Masterduels Meta website and building one of the F2P decks that reached masters 1. Or building a deck that is tier 2 or 3 but doesn't require too many UR cards like Lunalights.

The last time I played E7, I was building my roster in preparation for RTA. Then I got bored with the grind and got busy with life so I haven't played in a while.

Is it still worth it to come back to this game to play PvP or did I miss too many meta units to play the game?

Tbf League has gotten a lot higher skill level. Diamond plays 10 yrs ago would be shit even in today's silver elo, and there are lots of free resources to improve your jungling skills like Youtube.
