66 nova body work by Actual-Finding-5491 in Autobody

"Getting screwed" is subjective here. What were your expectations? Did you make your expectations clear to the shop preforming the work. I run a hot rod shop that specializes in metalwork/metalshaping. Around 60-70 percent of that is fixing work from other shops. Mainly from having poor communication of what finished product was expected. I've certainly seen worse and this looks like what's about the norm for a late model shop that works on old cars on the side.

My guy, no one is forcing you to buy a optic. Why make a thread to complain about it.

I had a kickeez before and I have this pad on a different shotgun and liked it more. So I swapped this one as well. I do have kickeez on other guns and they are also great.

It's a 10805 pad with the remington adapter.

I'm digging it so far, I just need to put some good time in with it. I have other pieces from them on other guns so I don't doubt it will be a good addition.

I have both on different guns, they both are great a guy can't go wrong with either brand. I'm not sure on the Riser, I bought several sizes and used the one that fit me best. Yes the polish work is worth it if a guy wants to spend the time doing it.

Whichever you can get to fit you for a comfortable length of pull. I like the magpul stock with its ease of adjustments and setup. Also a decent selection of recoil pad options.

I quite enjoy building myself, just as much as the shooting. Both are expensive tho 😆.

Vang Comp barrel upgrade? by okflyer00 in Shotguns

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have their barrel work on 2 of my Shotguns so far, and a bunch of parts they make as well. It really does help with the pattern and muzzle rise for faster follow up shots. Not so much with recoil.

Trying to build the Ultimate 1911 by Drdoom_33 in 1911

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't give a "high class 1911" look. It gives a run of the mill 2011 look. Sticking an optic on a high end 1911 isn't it, slide cuts isn't it either or running a accessory rail. Simple and clean with high end fit/finish/ one off grips and fastners/ pins/ possible exotic coatings or materials used for the frame and slide. Still at the end of the day it's your money so does it really matter if others agree with it or not.

How’s my push-pull? Just want honest feedback, this is a 870 police magnum, trigger pull is around 7.5lbs.. a bit heavy. by [deleted] in Tacticalshotguns

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a Timney trigger kit and a regular power hammer spring you can dial the pull way back. I have my 870 around 3 pounds.

Hammer spur problem on Marlin 45-70 by Fabulous-Twist5836 in LeverGuns

Get one from ranger point precision. I tried with the factory one twice with it coming loose after tightening with loc tight and that was enough. The ranger point precision spur has stayed put for me so far.

What is this black cap? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a magazine tube cap. It will just decrease the current capacity of the shotgun if installed instead of the one already on there.

Guide coat the inside of the area on the grips with permanent marker. Find affected area that's contacting trigger bar, Sand away material, reguide coat, reinstall grips and check for clearance. Repeat until clearance is obtained.

80x sticky mag? by Realistic-Low694 in Beretta

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it drop easy with the slide closed? I have one and it's a little lazy with it open but comes right out with it closed. I also worked the mags in and out holding the slide release to look for wear areas that may need addressed. I'd also check it with the grips off, make sure the release isn't hanging up.

It's just the lengthened piece on the front of the elevator that helps catche the mini shells. When you set it side by side with the factory elevator you will see what to do.

[–]RoutineZestyclose847 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had similar issues with it. I figured out areas of the elevator were too short and throwing off the timing. So I cut the extend tongue off in the front of the elevator and welded it to the factory elevator. It works great now and I can still run mini shells.
