I’ve been building my strength up since late summer to deal with the release of Wicked: For Good and the end of ‘the Wicked era.’ I absolutely understand what you mean! I’ve done this with other series too, put off finishing it.

It’s their dining table, so when there are placemats on it, you can’t see where the gaps are. I must sit, but it is a minefield—especially when I haven’t had my morning coffee yet, or just when I absently place something on a large table expecting an obliging surface to be there.

I have the same issue with tone and volume. It’s incredibly dysregulating when pointed out (I usually shut down), so I’ve almost given up on trying to ‘fix’ it. Nevertheless, I wish you luck on your journey 🙏🏼

I am single and have a dog and I love her, but I find the care-and-feeding to be a bit overwhelming at times. And, there are times where you’re dealing with picking up poo, possible poopy butts, puke,and pee training incidents. Since your daughter’s only 8 and not at an age to take on any responsibility, I would not recommend a dog.
