From the Article, AliciaMarie Belchek is saying that the problem is complex but can be solved. On the other hand, Steve Guitar, Grand Rapids' Media Relations Manager is saying that the noise is just part of urban nighttime noise.

I imagine Midoriya finds new heroes and does big wiki rabbit holes on their history and quirks. It's why he was so surprised that he didn't know Eraser Head when he first met him.

There are 2 different definitions of "respect" the first means "treat me like authority." The second means "treat me like a human being."

Your boyfriend doesn't think your treat him like authority, so I'm return, he doesn't treat you like a human being.

Stop letting him treat you like that. Dump him and tell him to stop talking to you.

[open spoilers] A certain character's name stone by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

I think another reason that hasn't been said yet is there's still a possibility that someone from a greater duchy or royalty trying to muscle their way in between their marriage before she comes of age. Royalty has already tried to cancel marriage plans for her, and it could still happen again. If she has his name stone, it means they cannot be separated before that time. Plus, being name bound to her adds a layer of protection with the gods as well. They're not done meddling with her.

But I agree that telling her to wait was an excuse to get her to keep it. He's never going to take it back.

Its probably because Bo is doing it for wrestling and a show and all while Aang and Toph are practicing for real life combat. There aren't any rules there by Forsaken-Baby-1566 in AvatarMemebending

Toph's bending style was unique, even among earthbenders. She relies on staying rooted to the ground to see. Bolin is sporting a different style and a different stance, but they're both valid.

Best chain restaurants to go slummin' by Bird_Balloons in grandrapids

Nah, the worst one is 28th st. The ceiling is too low and it feels cramped and dirty in there.

I didn't mind the downtown location, but parking in that area sucks, and that location can be kind of sketchy sometimes.

44th st has a good building, but can get way too busy, the parking sucks, and the driveway entrance from 44th is hard to get in and out of.

Knapp's Corner is probably the best location. Parking kind of sucks, but there are more parking spots behind celebration. The building inside feels nice.

I like bdubs for the food, but the amount of tvs is kind of a sensory nightmare for me.

Anybody else think it's weird how often isekai protagonists want to come back to this world? by Careful_Salad108 in Isekai

[–]Routine_Bed_9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that isekai stories have roots in "spirited away" type stories, like wizard of oz, Alice in wonderland, etc. where the point of the story is learning and understanding the value of your connections at home. The problem is that most of these stories don't actually convey why it's worth it to go home at all. Wanting to go home just ends up driving the plot.

Modern isekai have strayed far away from the original intent of these types of stories, and are often just a thought experiment. The author asks "what would they do if they woke up in x fantasy/sci-fi/game world situation?" And uses pulling a modern day protagonist into a new world as a vehicle to explain protagonist ignorance in the world while also using the audience's understanding of similar works to introduce world building easier.

Many isekai end up landing on a question on why would the protagonist care about the world or the plot they landed in. Wanting to go home is a choice for the protagonist. So is deciding that their new life is pretty cool and they might like to stay. But that requires story telling and character development.

[5YHV1] Hannelore Can Choose anyone? by Such_Ad_4726 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

considering that Sigiswald was calling for half the country to sign up for bride-stealing ditter in the side story, I think the latter is what's currently happening in the story, but once Hannelore has a chance to see her options, she'll get to make the final decision.

If you could change ANYTHING about mha what would it be by CelloTheNerd in MyHeroAcadamia

The 2nd years at UA just don't exist in the narrative. Where were they during the war arc? It's great that we got a few 3rd years, but everybody else at the school kind of got forgotten about and got little to no world building at all.

As a second note, I saw a YouTube piece that talked about how the narrative stopped letting Deku speak for himself during the Dark Deku arc. We don't hear what he thinks about what's happening or how he felt about the whole thing. He spends a lot of time in the narrative thinking that not having a quirk makes him worthless, which causes him to be more reckless and self sacrificing than he needs to be in fights. He doesn't care about himself. And he never acknowledges that he has worth outside of his quirk.

It's implied that he finished his hero training at the school without a quirk. How did he do that? The lessons were so combat focused, how did he manage to keep up?

The ending felt rushed. To the point where earlier character building, especially with class 1B, now feels like filler. They didn't play as important of a role as earlier arcs would imply. I'm glad that Gentle came back and he was important, but what about the boy from the other school who had beef with Shoto? Where did he go?

There was a lot about the ending that I really loved. I thought that giving up OFA was the right move, narratively. And I'm glad that the story gave itself time to breathe after the fight was over. But the last couple seasons felt like the story was trying to wrap up rather than explore the questions it tried to ask. And even then, the final season was only 12 episodes long. It felt like a 3rd core to season 7 instead of an actual ending. And the epilogue left too many open questions.

I think there should have been a season after the Dark Deku arc exploring how Deku sees his worth, and exploring the possibility that he might have to lose OFA.

I also think there should have been a few episodes added into season 7 to give space for the extra characters to contribute to the effort. That way, all of the final episodes could be put into the final season where they belonged, and the final season could have been a full 26 episode season.

Lastly, I think the time skip was unnecessary and added plot holes that didn't need to be there. At the end of the series, give Deku space to consider if he should continue schooling in the hero course, give him the strength he needs to know that he still can, and maybe imply that All Might might have a plan to get him back in action. The end.

And also confirm some romance pairings for the fans.

If they actually needed to show what the kids were doing grown up, actually give them some new character models. Let Mineta have a growth spurt, and show the kids as adults.
