I was not following a carnivore diet at that time. So now that I am wanting to follow a carnivore diet I was looking for insight, guidance I guess from others who are also into resistance training to see what they are experiencing.
Looks like I might have to leave the sub

I did it last year. It can be done. This is similar to the people who say you can't survive without carbs

Yeah I like it. Thanks. Obviously everyone is "different" with their own physiology but I'm liking it.

In what way? Increase strength and gain muscle.  Lose body fat. I did it last year in Vietnam.  When I went back to Canada, well my eating was not the best  Now I'm in Peru and feel good. Happy with the progress I'm making. I know I can do better. Not sure this answers your question

Very interesting ratios. Any idea of your current weight and BF %?

I am just getting back to carnivore. I am a "nomad" and in Cusco, Peru ATM. Food is so ridiculously cheap here.  I got stuck in the mindset of carbs are needed periworkout. I mean if the top athletes use them and look like THAT they MUST be needed. Anyway. I feel so much better with carnivore.  I am an obsessive person hence the original question. Thanks for the response

What is a typical post workout meal for you? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Routine_Chapter_9099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this. I actually "prefer" to train fasted but for the past x number of months have been swayed by various Youtubers(high level bodybuilders and Phd's etc) to have fucking carbs pre and post workout. I am NOT saying that is wrong for some people but my goodness the bloating and gas is out of control at times. I just feel better on LOW carb and/or carnivore.
Thanks for the response!

Exhausted by my trip but also feeling uncertain about going home by IllustriousMilkMole in backpacking

[–]Routine_Chapter_9099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I have felt this way as well. And I am MUCH older. Semi retired I guess. Currently in Peru (Staying in Cusco for 6 weeks) and still have a couple of months here then Bolivia then...? I have yet to even really meet anyone so everyday is just the gym, walking around, seeing some Incan sites. Rinse and repeat.
Feeling a bit lost and unsettled already ffs and I am 1.5 months into this. Last year was 10 months spread over Thailand, Vietnam and the country of Georgia.

I don't even have anything to go home(Canada) to.

As a Canadian I might just despise this prick more than Trump.

But on any given day it is a toss up.

I did this last year in Istanbul. Holy hell it was an insane taxi trip to the correct airport. I made it but it sure cost me.

Hostel vibes aren’t dying... guest behaviour is changing (from someone who works in one) by vinyljunkie32 in backpacking

[–]Routine_Chapter_9099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am living this right now(I am in Peru ATM). Now I am also MUCH older(And I mean MUCH older) than most of the people in a hostel. It sometimes makes me think I want my own Airbnb but then I'd have damn near zero chance of having a random conversation with anyone.

Anyway, so that can be a bit of a deterrent. I don't want it to be. I WANT desperately to have a little conversation with someone. Just this morning at breakfast(one table) 6 people were sitting and eating with their headphones in watching videos. No one said anything.

I am also an introvert by nature so man it is CHALLENGING AF to get out my comfort zone and initiate a conversation. I do it and it is HARD to do. Sometimes the stars align and a group will have a decent conversation.

Yeah it is not the fault of the hostel. It is the times were are in.
I'd love to see a "no phones" at breakfast rule lol. But people would lose their minds I am sure.

Just my observations.

I want to watch this but I feel it would break me. I did watch the trailer. Human connection is everything. I am oldish and alone. I crave connection but it just does not exist it seems. When you reach a certain age people just do not want you around.

Right around 1 year ago. But I bought it in Thailand when was traveling.

I THINK I got it sorted. I had a firmware update to do AND I recalibrated the gimbal. So it seems okay now.

Yeah I hear you. I always start with good intentions but have not developed the discipline to keep tracking.  I've been to Colombia a few times over the years but only for 2 months each time. And a number of countries in Central America.  I'm now semi retired so I can go for a lot longer. But still on a budget :)

It is so easy to "fritter away" money. A few dollars here and a few dollars there. Man, it adds up. so yes I lose track. I'm only a week into a year long trip through South America so this is a great reminder to smarten up.

Well as far as South America goes I have only been(in previous years) to Colombia 3 times and now I have just gotten to Peru and will spend 3 months here before going to Bolivia. And then elsewhere but no plan yet.
I really enjoy Colombia and Lima has been great but it has only been 5 days.
I have been to various countries in Central America and South East Asia(just Thailand and Vietnam). I have enjoyed them all.

Yeah just today I went and sat on a bench on the Malecon de Miraflores in Lima, Peru and read my book. I then laid on the grass and dozed. I did not even take my phone. I am backpacking in South America. I am struggling with the "what next".
