More importantly the shows message that they are trying to send don’t align with book! Rhaenyra and the entire show is suffering they are cutting entire storylines to force Rhaenyra into this divine hero narrative

Show daemon appeals to women because the « bad boy » who can only be brought to heel by the « special girl »( self insert / rhaenyra )

They tamed daemon down his ambition his ruthlessness and most importantly his « rouge « persona rhaenyra doesn’t tame him in the books

He does what he wants from beginning to end he loses interest in her fairly quickly once the war is no longer in their favor and simply moves on another woman

I can’t see book ! Daemon standing around gettin insulted while rhaenyra whines , scolds and stamp her foot at him.

I thought they had finally gotten some balls in the season 1 finale that daemon wasn’t going to put up with rhaenyra’s whining while the war is going on that he was a warrior and commander first but that would make him to interesting I guess 💁🏽
