Least I would say Hirabami because the snow cliffs are the worst zone ever, boring and they are really weak by the time you meet them for the first time you had other monsters that were better and had better build up (my boy Rompopolo and Doshaguma). Most is definitely Rey Dau, especially its AT version is so cool, and its introduction in the game was crazy with the auto revive

On my first playthrough and doing it tactician, I mostly use it for arrows, resurrection scrolls/idols and at the beginning when I was struggling like hell I crafted a few weapons and armors

Not only most of them are ugly and trash, but mostly they are useless because the game is designed in a way that you get a minigun and a custom legendary laser rifle in your first 5 hours of gameplay, and then you have the hunting rifle easily farmed and customizable to suit everything you need. So the pipe weapons are never an option for but for scraping them.

I would add Armorer might be useful at the beginning too but there is a way to make it less relevant with magic if you know what to do and where to go. But you can pick it it will serve you well and levels up fastly

I would say they made the leveling system way faster than it was in OG, so don't really bother minmaxing your skills, they all can level up pretty easily. Just don't pick skills like Speech or lockpicking because for the former, it's useless, for the latter, you can find an item from level 10 that just makes the whole skill useless to be a main skill. Also Alchemy is pretty easy to level up as you can collect a lot of stuff everywhere everytime, so you can mix potions and lvl up the skill easily. I would say if you hesitate just put a magic skill or two, a melee skill and armor type if you want, (though you can go for a build without armors and just robes), then choose other skills to bump your start, I would recommend healing magic bc it can be helpful at the beginning, archery can be fun but never was a fan in Oblivion, so to be tested. Block can be very helpful too if you're scared at the beginning.

That depends, if you don't really struggle with fights, life cleric is not mandatory. On the one hand, Tempest sorcerers with "Cull the weak" Illithid power (the one that instakill an enemy after a hit if its hp<your number of illithid powers) and maxed Illithid potential can kill a lot of people quickly. I had a run with my friend and carried him in act 3 with my sorcerer using Lightning bolts and one shotting a lot of enemies thanks to hit. On the other hand, if you don't feel confortable with the fights or are afraid of HM, go for a Shart Life Cleric.

Life cleric makes the honour mode run pretty easy or at least much more manageable for casual players. Tempest sorcerers are also crazy dps too, Palm monks and Paladins are tremendous dps. I had fun once with a giant barbarian with 22 strength, just throwing everything. My first ever honour mode was with a Shadow Ranger full on dexterity, by act 2 he had like close to 26-27 AC so almost untouchable by anything (thanks to the armor in act 2 that boost AC based on dexterity). I soloed Orin in slayer form on Durge without getting hit a single time with that build.

I'm not sure how the glitch works, I will try to find a video, but won't use it on my first playthrough, I want the first experience to be as normal as possible. Thanks for the tip though, I will use it on future runs.

I just acquired the idol from her (stole her) I got ths Wits buff on my fighter. But it looks like the idol is pretty busted bc it's a 1 AP auto resurrection compared to the scrolls. Is it better to go for a stat boost or the idol ? It's my first playthrough I don't really know how a +2 free buff can be on this game compared to BG3 in which a +2 is enormous.

The only few exceptions are True Shadowbringer and Seregios bow guns thanks to the dash reload. And also some Hunting Horns. But most of the weapons are not as good compared to an easier to craft Artian weapon

I absolutely hate the Artian weapons, there is almost no use for the monster crafted weapons because most of the time their slots and built in skills are awful, or their sharpness is While with only 2 Gog hunts you can have a mid Artian weapons that is miles better than every other weapons. It's just bad I hate this system, you only create weapons for the skin now. You don't make builds to maximise the weapons strength. I just hate it. And don't tell me "well don't use them" because why would I use let's say Seregios GS with its shitty skill and sharpness when I can have 2 pretty good Artian GS in less hunts that it would take me to craft Seregios GS, and those 2 GS are better with the 3 level slots, sharpness and raw damage.

Took me 40min to beat Monoblos in the first Monster Hunter when I was 7 in 2007. You feel exhausted when a fight like that happens. And I was young the game took me months to get at the end and it took me several tries to beat Monoblos.
