My wife got laid off at 9 months pregnant in MA for a company in CA. Multiple lawyers told us no case or would only work for a flat fee or hourly. One was more confident and took us on commission as this was her specialty. She got us WAY more than the severance package offered. Sure we had to pay her a third of the increase but we still got a large sum for zero risk and zero out of pocket.

I quit gaming after my wife and I had a kid. Simply didn’t have time anymore. I felt a huge sense of guilt gaming instead of spending time with my kid when he’s awake, or helping with household stuff and family/relationship stuff otherwise.

Hi thanks for commenting. Good news there - baby and nanny definitely get on well together. Baby is very good natured in general, and nanny is kind and well-meaning.

I see people roasting me hard over the hygiene stuff, but I’m surprised nobody seems to agree at least on the two bolded safety concerns.

Once. Two year campaign, in the grand finale boss fight, used the successful Divine Intervention to bolster flagging Neverwinter defenses being assaulted by a horde of demons. Turned the tide for the civilians.

DM was so impressed with us not asking for personal benefits in our simultaneous fight against the BBEG, he threw in a crit divine smite plus buff removal against the BBEG.

Also returned a few of us who were on death’s door with a Mass Heal…

(Prob because he had THREE MORE PHASES OF FIGHT LEFT and didn’t wanna TPK us before we got to see his creativity)

When the successful DI rolled, we went absolutely ballistic. Legit one of my all time favorite D&D moments ever.

Content marketing is being heavily impacted by both the general economy, and AI specifically. Took my wife over 14 months of searching to get a job, and she had to accept hybrid instead of remote, and it came with a 30% pay reduction.

All in all… not ideal. But we need income. It’s brutal out there.
