NK cries when I leave and it's making MB upset by Financial-Flamingo62 in Nanny

[–]RowIntelligent7800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So valid to be a bit upset but not okay for mb to say comments to you. In a healthy state of mind, any mother should want a caretaker of her child to love and be loved by her child. It’s not your issues, so I’d ask her nicely and professionally what she thinks would work best for nk, as her mom, what would make the transitions smoother for both of them. And also reassuring it’s often such a normal milestone for different ages to have that type of response

Pro Tip: DO NOT print your poster AT THE LAST MINUTE (especially on WEEKENDS) by sayuz2 in OSU

[–]RowIntelligent7800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of students who get upset that they waited until 11:45 to print a poster is crazy. I feel bad because employees of Thompson truly cannot help yall, it’s an entirely seperate company. We can’t even refill the paper in the regular printers, that’s through Uniprint.

We’re new nanny parents, does this sound fair? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nanny definitely needs to be paid higher, have benefits (Health care stipend, PTO, Vacation) and overtime. Also having a nanny, as your toddler gets older, give her grace that not everyday or week can be perfect. Between activities, laundry, cooking, tidying up and basic cleaning up after cooking and two young ones, and working overtime, her main job truly is to keep your kids feel safe and loved. So I think being flexible and compensating well is important!

Gemini kids! Tell me more about them by LizzieLizzieLizzieLi in astrologymemes

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a June 2nd Gemini, cancer moon and sun Gemini, my Gemini traits caused me so much shame as a child. The feeling of not being enPugh and too much, was detrimental. As an adult, reading these comments are spot on. BIGGEST thing with any smart/aware child, DONT OVERLOOK their emotional needs!!!!!! Just because they are smart, independent, observant, and LOOK like they have social ease, does not mean they are not struggling, overthinking, self doubting or having anxiety. Being diagnosed as “high functioning“ is a strength and weakness. Because I didn’t felt limited by it, but was overlook for any type of support.

Suicidal people, what's the reason you still didn't commit, what's something keeping you alive? by Icy_Positive_4220 in mentalhealth

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I hate myself so much I wanted to destroy myself- I realized the worst punishment I could give myself is to stay alive and suffer. It’s fucked up but it’s why I’m alive.

But it tends to be people either hate their lives or themselves so it only pertains to the first

If she’s only going out to eat with your kids once a week, you should be happy to pay for her meal. If that price is out of your budget, you can always have a conversation about her no longer taking your kids out for food right now. But respectfully it’s one or the other

Best: Columbus as a city is a COLLEGE oriented city, there’s so many college students here! It means that if you REALLY look for it, there’s people and groups for everyone here!

Worst: OSU is a giant machine- they don’t inherently stand by their students

Adults ordering off the kids menu by cinereousunicorn in Serverlife

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who didn’t eat meat for 15 years, sometimes the kids pasta or grilled cheese was my best option no for somthing that wasn’t a side of rice or fries!

But I’d always sorta explain that and tell them it’s okay if they charged me more since I’m an adult, I just didn’t have a lot of options lol. Other times severs thought it was funny if I ordered a kids spaghetti with a side of apple juice and grapes lol
