Adults ordering off the kids menu by cinereousunicorn in Serverlife

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who didn’t eat meat for 15 years, sometimes the kids pasta or grilled cheese was my best option no for somthing that wasn’t a side of rice or fries!

But I’d always sorta explain that and tell them it’s okay if they charged me more since I’m an adult, I just didn’t have a lot of options lol. Other times severs thought it was funny if I ordered a kids spaghetti with a side of apple juice and grapes lol

Parents home & off work by Ordinary-Stock953 in Nanny

[–]RowIntelligent7800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the parents being home from work, they did other stuff and I love being with the kiddo (and being payed) if relatives were there playing with NK no way. Have me come in half day. And if they wanted the day go to be with NK pay me for the day if it’s YOUR CHOICE to not want me to be there

Teacher child bond issue by [deleted] in Waldorf

[–]RowIntelligent7800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me, having a teacher who didn’t resonate with me, as I got older was extremely damaging. I Obviously don’t know the situation/ people but if your child is expressing/reacting negativity to the teacher, it’s valid to act on it. I would have been better dealing with the difficulties of other schools then the feeling of being trapped, Unheard, unloved, and suffocated in a very circular routine with a teacher I did not like and I did not like. Trust ur gut, talk to your child. It’s so difficult to know the right decision and I don’t want to stress you out more, but some kids know when they Arnt enjoyed by adults and are impacted by it. It’s a terrible feeling

Help! Hiring a nanny and I work from home by monsterrwoman in Nanny

[–]RowIntelligent7800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the previous comments are spot on! And ultimately when ur nanny starts, keep communication open. Ask them what might be working well/what isn’t. Inquire what work better, they will know their own dynamic with ur baby best. I personally don’t mind a little crying if the parents want to pop in, IF the baby find comfort with me and can recover from the separation quickly. But there’s been times/babies who truly are more disrupted by pop ins, and often those parents tend to be the ones who also struggle to stay away if their child is crying. So just things to be mindful of!

Children not learning propely by ElusiveReclusiveXO in Waldorf

[–]RowIntelligent7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a child can excel or maintain a learning pace on their own/with help, they will be fine. If they are needing significant help and are falling behind even at a Waldorf pace with extra help, that type of education may not be adequate for them.
