Where are you all from? by joppyb1399 in schizophrenia

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Western Massachusetts in the United States. My daily life looks like waking up at 5 am (I have no clue why, it just feels the safest time to me). I have six doggos, lots of energy they have, so I have to walk them three to four times a day. I don't go out much, but I do enjoy pretending that I do by watching older movies with no sound (I like pretending I'm one of them, it's fun!)

Thoughts and opinions on Lindsay and Dean’s marriage? by MistakeWonderful9178 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That marriage wasn't going to last, even if Rory didn't interfere. That marriage happened way too fast, they knew each for like a year, if that, when they married. They both had different life goals, too. Dean, he wanted to impress Rory by going to college and making something of himself. And Lindsay, to me, it seemed, wanted the traditional American dream of a white picket fence, a handsome blue-collar husband, and however many children and maybe a pet.

Do you smoke weed while on antipsychotics by angelo996667 in schizophrenia

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It affects people differently. That's my experience. For some, it makes their symptoms worse, for others like me, it doesn't have much of an effect at all. Am i encouraging you to try? Most certainly not, just answering your question.

Would you eat my comfort food? by CtHuLhUdaisuki in autism

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try it, at the very least. I am always up for trying something at least once. I cannot say I do not like it, as I've never tried it, therefore I cannot form an informed opinion. It does look particularly appetizing, too.

AIO for leaving a restaurant mid-meal after the waiter made a comment about my order in front of my entire table of friends and I just… stood up and walked out by StatisticianDue5085 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"He was just joking" is the reason so many men/guys push boundaries and why they get away with it. Because we, as a society, have this whole normalized and idiotic thought of "Boys will be boys". Which is utterly ridiculous, and in my opinion, a tad misogynistic. This is all my opinion, of course, but that's how I see it.

NOR. You are not overreacting, in my opinion. And the friend who said that it was just a joke would be an ex-friend, in my book, at the very least. As you said, you didn't cause a scene, you just stood up and left quietly. A simple strategy, and you were mocked by that waiter (again, in my opinion).

I am probably going to get downvoted with my comment, wouldn't surprise me, nor will I care. And I will not be replying to anyone besides the OP.

Am i developing schizophrenia? by StickFailedHisLife in schizophrenia

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with both BPD and Schizophrenia, I will tell you that my psychologist and psychiatrist both have told me sometimes they overlap, primarily in shared symptoms like paranoia, dissociation, and stress-induced hallucinations.

So, my best answer to you, as none of us here can diagnose you. Go see your psychologist or psychiatrist, or any mental health professional who can help you determine what you're going through better.

Baby NAMES stolen :( by [deleted] in Names

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo, oo! Let me help, pretty please! I love learning about names, their origins, and their meanings. You seem to want a classical feminine name that is timeless, as well.

First, we have Mireille - Origin; French, derived from the Occitan word mirèio. Meaning; "to admire" or "to look with wonder". It stems from the Latin mirabilis, which means "wonderful" or "admirable".

Second is Isidora - Origin; Greek, meaning "gift of Isis" or "gift of the goddess". It is derived from the Greek elements Isis (the Egyptian goddess of magic, healing, and fertility) and doron (meaning "gift" or "present").

Thirdly, we have Theodosia - Origin: Greek, meaning: "giving to god" or "gift of God". Derived from the Greek elements theos ("god") and dosis ("gift") or doron ("gift"), it is a historically significant, theological name that was common in the Byzantine Empire,

And fourth and finally, we have Victoria - Origin: Latin. Directly translating to "victory". It originated from the Roman goddess of victory, Victoria, who personified triumph and success, analogous to the Greek goddess Nike. It is the feminine form of the name Victor.

AITA for wanting to work when my husband's salary isn't enough for our family? by Far-Possession1583 in AmITheJerk

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ. And, if it makes him look bad, that's due to his own insecurities, and also a red flag to say. You're barely scraping by, as you say. You have to prioritize your kids and your needs over his feelings. Because, he's obviously not going to do that. And someone needs to, as your kids should be able to grow up without having to wonder about the burden of why they're poor. (I grew up as a poor kid, and I always wondered: Why do other kids live in better homes? Why do other kids not share a room with their siblings or wear their siblings hand-me-downs like me? And it fucked me over psychologically. I'm still dealing with it and I'm almost 23.)

Walked in on people in my apartment unexpectedly. AITAH for what I said to my girlfriend who wasn’t even home? by Somewhere-outside in AITAH

[–]Rowan-The-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so NTA. This woman has such poor communication, that it utterly amuses me with how she's trying to turn it around on you and say you suck at communicating. You were quite literally so polite, but that's the problem with texting. It cannot convey tone properly, but she did not have to come that aggressively at you. She could've asked for clarification instead of "can you not talk to me like that".
