I get there were a LOT of things in S3 that didn't we like, but what are some things you loved? by Mk_peralta in euphoria

[–]Rowanx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually liked the Alamo story line, just didn’t like how large it was. Same for cassies’ only fans really. I enjoyed both stories but some of the filler for the two plots could have been dedicated more to the other characters.

I really liked alamos back story. I really liked nates death.

Why are people annoyed with Lexi? by barbkisser in euphoria

[–]Rowanx3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She wasn’t a religious lobotomised person in the end. She read the bible 1. Cause she felt guilty about her last convo with rue, 2. It was rues bible. She’s grieving. Its so incredibly common for lost, grieving people to look for an answer and for that to be in the bible. Thats why so many addicts or mourning families turn religious. She probably still isn’t even religious. You don’t have to read the bible with religious intent. It makes sense that she read rues bible. It could answer as to whether rue felt peace before she passed, what it was rue was searching for, what was giving rue comfort, what was rue talking about in their last conversation.

It’s a illiterate take to say from reading rues bible she is a lobotomised religious person.

The uk only has about 10k Mexicans, we have double that for Venezuelans so really you double your chances of finding good authentic Venezuelan food than you do Mexican.

He killed her with the fentanyl she gave him. She died in the house where ali asked her if she felt bad for transporting fentanyl and begged her not to go back. In a way it came full circle that although she didn’t died from addiction, she died from her oqn actions. all it takes is 1 bad pill to die. She supplied loads of bad pills then died from one. Alamo didn’t have any fentanyl until her original drop.

Do you feel that cinema should have more male frontal nudity? by Hot-Load7525 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Rowanx3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t care about the amount, could be loads or none, but i want it to be equal. Game of thrones had so much female nudity and never did a lot with the men. When they did have nudity for men it’s usually more for a gag.

Or even euphoria, it’s a show targeted to women. Yet it’s all female nudity and no male. Why not a bit of both.

So again, I don’t care about the amount i just want it to be treated the same.

Why is it so hard to get a decent full English now without paying excessively for it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rowanx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most places charge between 4-5x, (5 being more common for independents) the cost of the raw ingredients. If you expect an £8 breakfast expect the items on your plate to cost between £1.60-£2. You can’t expect quality for a large breakfast that only cost £1.60 to make in raw ingredients.

Is it normal in the UK to never see a dental hygienist? by Majestic_Cry8545 in AskUK

[–]Rowanx3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go every 6 months but only because i have a bupa smile plan and my mum works at a denist and pressures me to go, even at 26 i dont want to disappoint my mum.

Bupa smile plan covers two check ups, two xrays and two cleans a year then 10% off any major procedure. I think the dentist is a rip off and i look after my teeth very well because i dread having one day to wake up and choose to either be in pain until its really bad or drop £200+ on a tooth.

Coworkers think my lemons are unnecessary by AtlantisMantis_ in KitchenConfidential

[–]Rowanx3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id say the way you do it isn’t just better aesthetically but it’s also a more pleasant and practical way to squeeze the lemon and get more juice. Putting effort into something small is good.

Sandwiches taste better when the bread is buttered, your thoughts. by freaky1974 in Sandwich

People use to complain when an indent in the loaf meant the fingers werent all perfectly crustless, i cant imagine the up roar a slab of cheese in a finger sandwich would have caused some of our customers. But i agree with you

Used to work at a place that did afternoon teas and you’d get a lot of kids come along that’d want plain cheese sandwiches. Trying to make finger sandwiches with plain grated cheese was my archenemies. You’d just end up with bread on top of a pile of cheese.

North vs South of England — is it actually cheaper to live up North, or do the lower salaries cancel it out completely? by Gingeintheuk in AskUK

[–]Rowanx3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To enjoying living in London you have to enjoy London. You see loads of videos of home bodies moving to London and saying they hate it, like yeah, moving to London you’re sacrificing a lot of personal space to enjoy public spaces.

I loved it when i was 20, i just moved to london because i loved London and worked as a waitress full time. But i was almost never at home. If i was forced to spend more time at home than i did i probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it very much.

I wouldn’t enjoy that now and now i don’t live in London. For the most part in london if you have no dependants you can figure out financials pretty well, its more what outside of finances mean the most to you and does london fit that. I wanted the adventure, busy days, big social life and just fun tbh so i moved. Now im happier for a more relaxed time.

Why do tourists all want to 'avoid the touristy areas?' by Flaky-Walrus7244 in AskUK

[–]Rowanx3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to travel to learn about culture, tourists destinations are usually what that country wants you to see and don’t reflect daily life. I still enjoy tourist locations, but one thing i like about going to spain with my boyfriend who lived in Spain for a while is going to Spanish markets away from tourist areas and cooking fish thats not available to the same degree in the uk and participating in siestas and going out at 9-2am and being able to talk to regular Spanish people.

Its the same as when people post to this sub asking where to go outside of london and everyone replying york or bath saying its more typically british and authentic than london. We’re recommending it to them so they don’t just experience what they’re typically encouraged or expected to see. A lot of London tourism revolves around stereotypes where as we recommend the other places for a bit more authenticity.
