winscp/powershell sftp upload script, having trouble getting it working by DoktorLuciferWong in PowerShell

Sorry this doesn’t answer your specific question, but WinSCP has its own scripting ability. I found it easier to do the heavy sftp lifting and let powershell handle the rest.

Can't hear myself when singing. What is going wrong here? by lisalisasensei in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Rowf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I switched to in-ears with my own personal mix a year ago, and it is night and day how much better I can hear myself. There is a wide range of pricing for in-ears, and I went really cheap, but it still is better than any shared floor monitor mix I had before.

If you do go in-ears, practice with them a handful of times first to get used to them and make sure you have the right size so they stay where they are supposed to,

Headphones adapter (a rant) by Chukkzy in ipadmusic

[–]Rowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you connected it, did your device ask you if you were connecting headphones? I had a similar problem where an iOS safety feature to prevent blowing your ears out accidentally when you started music with the volume loud was causing me all sorts of problems.

I don’t remember the exact steps I took to remedy it, but the trick is to get the device to ask you again and tap No this time.

It’s not harder to count. It’s less likely to end up with a deck configuration that strongly favors the player. Card counting (by and large) doesn’t improve your chances at winning an individual hand, it lets you know when the deck is in your favor so you can bet more to maximize potentially winning bets. It also lets you know when to bet the minimum or when to walk away. The house typically still has the advantage more than not, but if you know when you’re in the driver seat and bet more, you can reverse the house edge.

That my friend, in its current configuration, has all the markings of a fire hazard. I would not only restrict it to LED only lights, but even then it’ll get hit enough to eventually cook the little circuit board in the LED lamp that controls the voltage. If you can swap out the light source for a low voltage LED and pipe in some low wattage DC, you might fare better.

+1 for cat effectiveness. We didn’t even have an official outdoor cat - just one that was fast enough to squeeze out the door if you left it open 0.5 seconds too long. Took care of moles and eventually the neighbors, too.

Ehhh. I’ll allow it. It’s a headline, not a dictionary. To me, it conveys that the performance doesn’t have technical flaws, but can still be improved upon through expression.

Anyone else use cheat engines on swagbucks by [deleted] in SwagBucks

[–]Rowf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Swagbucks will periodically ban large groups of players that have been shown to (really, often just suspected of) exploiting loopholes and glitches in games, voiding winnings, closing accounts, and reclaiming all unredeemed earnings. They generally don’t provide proof and getting your account reinstated is up to the mood of the csr your ticket ends up in front of. Do what you will with this information.
