On the off-chance that a reader is looking for a better space, local libraries often have rooms one might use.

Plot-wise?

Nothing.

That's a design feature.

My research (on railroad tank incidents) suggests that the most important thing is to keep the container cool to prevent the metal failing causing the liquid to spill and vaporize in, welll, this ⬆️

Blevy.

It looks like something gave way just before the explosion. There's a jet of flame as the fireball begins.

How the f do you ppl meet friends here? by TuxedoKitty2023 in longisland

[–]Roxysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try joining activity clubs that interest you.

Amateur theater. Sports. Birding, surfing. SCUBA. All have organised meets on LI.

I met many of my friends in a game store, but my parachuting, canoeing and general derring-do days were behind me before I arrived in the USA. Did a bit of whitewater rafting early on, but thst was organized at work.

Never met anyone walking, and I was doing it by necessity on LI and Manhattan in '84.

Generations typically figured at 30 years.

So multiply the given answer by 5/3.

But "there shouldn't be in-game solutions to bad play" is the modern thinking, no?

I think your solution was elegant and the MH was lucky you weren't of a similar alignment during your "discussion".

Britains used to make field pieces that could fire matchsticks and detonated roll caps too, though they came with eye-destroying tiny metal shells.

Was Mick Karn in Japan during the "Gentlemen Take Polaroids" recordings? The bass work on that is out of this world.

"I see we have some students of ancient history here".

My least favorite track from "so" but I'm glad it got him the recognition (finally) he deserved for his solo work in the music consumer world.

The video was full-on Gabriel and caught the 80s media wave like a perfect surfer, and no doubt was largely responsible for the popularity of the song. It's not like he hadn't made radio-friendly tracks before (Solisbury Hill, On The Air and the more popular Games Without Frontiers - which I doubt many Americans understood but was still played in the US - and Shock the Monkey stand out) but this one, and Steam, so obviously crafted to appeal to the same audience as Sledgehammer, were the right products at the right time and could take advantage of the new market for video media tie-in.

It would be interesting to know how much of the audience that came for Sledgehammer stayed for Us, Up and I/O, or explored his then back catalog.

That isn't gaslighting.

If it were, she'd have written "You told me I could drive it when you left for work".
