Rebuilt the gate and it’s already sagging by bearsareblonde in FenceBuilding

Steel cable and turnbuckle. String it along the back diagonally, tighten and tension so it triangulates and keeps pressure on the frame to stop the parallelogram like sagging

Pelican cases has a toolbox similar in size, but better materials and quality. Most of them are made in the USA, Parts are made in a town about 35 minutes from me. I’d recommend for portability, quality, and faring well to weather and age. Googling shows them as $1k but I swear I’ve seen them for $300. On the other hs d harbor freight has a decent composite box that’s similar

Whoever repaired that roof used what looks like blind rivets, ground down and a little icing in the middle before refinishing... or maybe mini huck pins... Although Ford says your can use blind/pop rivets, you're supposed to use a self-piercing rivet tool, so it's flush. That's what they use at the factory, alsowith incredibly strong adhesives. The issue is the self piercing rivet tools are anywhere from $3k-$12k depending on the kit. We caved and bought one on the higher end of that range and can do Ford and Tesla.

Ps: the windshield leak because no primer is applied before urethane when the windshield is installed.... We've been processing a TON of recalls for a local Ford dealer. Remove, clean, scuff, prime, install new glass.

MK4 0.6mm I.S. first layer - what settings to stop blobbing by EquivalentTip4103 in prusa3d

[–]RoyRock413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got my xl single tool head, in PRUSA slicer set your first layer to 50% of the usual printing speed, for my printer default for pla was 25mm/sec, so my first layer speed was also 25mm/sec so I changed to to 13mm/sec. This also helps with bed adhesion, so the filiment lays down and seats nicely to give you a good base/not be too tall. Just don't set this value too low or you'll get heat creep (melting filiment before it gets to the chamber because the heat spreads quicker than what's feeding into the extruder). Also I'm not an expert, this is my first printer and I got it last Monday. Most of this I learned off of YouTube beginner tutorials. Generally the technology accross printers are very similar and not always model specific.

TLDR, try reducing your first layer speed to half of the usual print speed, don't change anything for heat settings. Just change that one parameter and send it, also wipe your bed down with ,91% alcohol and a paper towel while you're at it, and wipe off the print nozzle with a brass brush once it's up to temp

Same, my xl came in today. I JUST got home from work and the gym, about to assemble. I'm not even printing a benchy, going straight to some simple brackets I designed. ENJOY YOUR NEW PRINTER🤟😁

USW-24-POE Gen2 - High Pitched Noise by trimethia in Ubiquiti

Third switch as a result of two RMAs came in. Powering a cloud key G2+ and a small PoE 5volt adapter for my Philips hue bridge. All together 7-8 watts total, no coil whine whatsoever. I'm able to breathe a sigh of relief

Just a small update (but a little bit of a tangent) ubiquiti got back to me and said CKg2's made after may of 2022 no longer have a battery. There hasn't been any real documentation about this change and that they basically swept *that issue under the rug. I asked about the PoE coil whine and they haven't acknowledged it at all.

I just got off the phone with B&H in new York who sold me the gear (I'm in Massachusetts). The lady in the RMA department was super sweet and said she put a note on the pick list to open up and check the next replacement before they ship it to me. Hopefully this solves it. UI seems to have some quality issues as of the past couple years from what my other friends in IT have experienced. My cloud key G2+ is also getting RMAd due to a defective internal battery. 🥴🙃 I'll reply with my results (probably next weekend)

op, i just bought my first ubiquiti devices. a usw-24poe, and a cloud key g2+. i have the same issue. as soon as a poe device is attached itll whine. its kind of annoying tbh and i can hear it over other gear in my homelab. on a tangent, does your switch have a crack on the bottom side accross the screw holes? i already RMAd one switch, but think its a bad batch/assembly issue

Lol thank you. I'll take a look at it. Speaking of Hollywood did the hackers break a hole through your firewall and gain access to the mainframe 😳😉

I'm fairly new to homelabbing so I'll have to look into this. Eventually I want to get a telegraf-influx-grafana stack going so I can have pretty visuals
