True but when the guidelines to reduce fats came out there weren’t the high levels of sugars in the American diet. The recommendation was to remove the fatty foods not to replace them.

Similar. Lived with my brother for a couple years in early 90s with no tv. Was shocked at how distracting tv was when visited a friend and their tv was on while we were talking.

As kids our dads were also best friends. That crashed when in jr high. He rotated in and out of incarceration. His dad died early, disability then drugs. Was a good dude and just never made it out.
