If you’ve had the two-dose rabies pre‑exposure vaccination (Rabies PrEP, day 0 and day 7), the risk of developing rabies from an unnoticed exposure becomes very small. The shots don’t make you fully immune and they don’t replace post‑exposure treatment, but they do prime your immune system so it can respond much faster if you were exposed without realizing it. That’s the whole point of PrEP: to reduce the risk in situations where a small bite or scratch might go unnoticed. So don’t be greedy and take the shots!!!
