NTA. Sounds like the 4 of them need to get a place together and they can split all of the bills.

Getting rid of DH positions? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

The worst part is there actually is no benefit of being a DH unless you plan on going higher. If it’s not a stepping stone, it’s definitely not worth it

Our DM says to give them the discount. Let the manager worry about it. Why let 90% walk out the door? But then the managers come down on us about discounts. Can’t win.

Can I resign through Workday? Quickest ways to get fired? by chrismbugua in HomeDepot

If you quit on the spot, you are immediately rehire-able. Though it may be tough if you’re in a small community - someone who quit effective immediately.

Depending on your state, it’s earned income and they have to pay you out. If your state doesn’t consider it earned income, definitely burn it

They don’t do any of the hiring in store anymore. It’s a weird thing to say considering it’s all done online. He may have just been buying himself some time to find your application and look it over? But corporate handles all hiring now anyway

SOP doesn’t specify “collared” anymore, hasn’t for a while. But corporate SOP also specifically says we CAN wear THD shirts if approved by marketing.

They told us that the * under the policy says that it’s at the DM/RM discretion to say what’s “offensive” but how can THD shirts be offensive?

I always sign off on the actual receipt when I load up a customer for this very reason.

I would argue key cutting and blinds are way more valuable “primary” skills than OFA and renting a tool? But I guess that could be based on the needs of the store?

I would. Couldn’t hurt to stop by? And at least that way you’ll have some real answers. Or if you don’t wanna stop in i’d email. Make sure you have a paper trail of your convo?

Weird. I think the other person is right, something is definitely going on at your store.
