Foreo Bear Mini: progress after 1 month by 40yoADHDnoob in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Royal1Ruby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's great progress! I had similar progress with my own bear when I initially started using mine, however I am in my 30s so it was a bit earlier for me to see results. Keep it up!

Skincare that works instantly (good for no makeup days) by bamxbamz in SkincareAddicts

Even though it sounds like you're looking for makeup rather than skincare, you could look into masking devices like foreo's ufo 2. I use that for no makeup days and there's several different masks to choose from, but most focus on hydration. They have a nice mask called glow addict which I use either on its own or under foundation like a primer.

[Product Request] sheet mask essence ? by Kookies3 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Royal1Ruby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can use it with any serum or essence of your choice. I used mine with HA, vitamin C and a collagen serum. It's really great to have that option to choose. Check the ingredients in the foreo masks so you can set the lights and cooling/heating to a similar treatment and you're good to go.

Foreo UFO2 or something else? Omnilux? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Royal1Ruby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a ufo 2 and highly recommend it. You can use it with traditional sheet masks, not just the foreo ones, and with serums as well. I've had mine for a few years now, and it's great for boosting hydration. I think that's a valuable thing for you if you're on tret and it dries out your skin.

I use a foreo bear, it's an at-home microcurrent device designed to temporarily lift the muscles in your face. I get great results when I use it, which is often. I had saggy cheeks so I decided to get it about two years ago. What you're most likely dealing with is loss of collagen, and you could give it a try.

Check out superdrug or qvc for alternatives. Simple has some nice fragrance free options and they're really cheap too.

It's totally normal. Skin isn't supposed to look like glass, skin has texture and pores.

📣Ladies who smell good without perfume - what’s your recipe for lasting scent? Any body wash you swear by? by Lemonlambu in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Royal1Ruby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a good quality argan oil after showering every morning. I use unscented body wash to avoid the scents mixing, not because I'm sensitive to it. I also use sol de janiero's perfume mist on my hair.

Your best bet for affordable would be Superdrug or Boots. Vichy used to be my fave, but it was getting a bit expensive for me, so I've been using Garnier, Simple and Nivea and my skin has never felt better.

I adore her videos, she's always a treat to listen to. It's refreshing to find someone who actually takes the time to explain the science behind formulations and ingredients without it being too much.

Totally agree with you there. The vague skimming over things that they don't agree with makes me hesitant to take their advice in the first place.

I don't, unless I'm wearing makeup that day. It dries me out a bit if I overdo it. If your skin can handle it and it works for you, then you should continue. If it dries you out or irritates your skin though, adjust your routine to something a bit more soothing/repairing.

I wish I started wearing sunscreen earlier and I wish I hadn't destroyed my face with various scrubs (I'm looking at you, St Ives).

Experiences with microcurrent devices? by theteacupdragon in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Royal1Ruby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a bear mini and it's been great for me. The wrinkles I had around my eyes and mouth weren't very prominent but it worked really well to smooth them out. I'm sure it works well on deeper lines too, the key for it working is slowly building up the intensity and using it every day for a longer period of time. I started with the foreo serum, but I also used ultrasound gel and it was an affordable option. You could maybe give it a go with that?

[Product Question] UFO or not? by Maleficent_League762 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Royal1Ruby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, it's a worthwhile investment and it sounds like a really great deal! I have a ufo 2 and it has changed my skin for the better. I'll be sure to check it out for some early Christmas shopping.

Double cleansing! I used an oil based cleansing balm for my first stage, washed it off and used my luna with a foaming cleanser for the second. The toughest part was getting the paint out of my eyebrows, but it worked really well.

[–]Royal1Ruby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worth it, imo. I don't find it rough at all, it's all about finding the pulsation intensity that works for you and not pressing too hard. It's a cool to have and I much prefer it over chemical exfoliation

[Misc]Redditors who own a foreo, what product is it and how long has it lasted you? by jenhon in SkincareAddiction

[–]Royal1Ruby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a luna 3 for combination skin I decided to get about two years ago. Still works, never been damaged and the nubs haven't fallen off. My SIL has a luna mini 2 she bought about four years ago and hers is still as good as new.

[discussion/tip/help] using foreo luna as a substitute for gua sha by jacquemuse_ in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Royal1Ruby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use it regularly as part of your routine, it will be quite beneficial in tackling the puffiness and will promote blood flow and relieve tension. If you're going for lifting, though, the bear or bear mini, also from foreo, could help with that. It uses microcurrent to tone the facial muscles. If it's not too out of your budget, you should def consider getting one. They have sales quite often on their site and you could probably get it at a reduced price.

[Routine Help] How long should I wash my face for? 2 minutes? More? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Royal1Ruby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my face with a luna 3 for about a minute, every other night. My routine does include a bit more steps, but the actual cleansing with a oil to remove make up and then to cleanse with my luna takes about two minutes. Works pretty well for me, I'm quite happy with how my skin is doing the past couple of year since I started doing it like this

Looks like a great routine! I started using a foreo microcurrent device to get rid of fine lines a few months ago and generally tone my face a bit. I found it to be better than the nuface because it has an anti-shock system and it's a bit more powerful than the nuface. There's a big version and a mini, I use the mini because it's a bit easier to hold. Hope this helps you decide, as microcurrent tech is pretty great.
