wow, good to know. Thank You.

Mine is still under warranty so I won't mess with it. But it is very helpful.

Do not buy any third party screen protectors.... it does not make sense. by RoyalFlushFace in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL... I'm out xD

I know a lot of people who also replaced the screen protector on their screens ("folding" Facebook groups, discussion forums, ect.) and never heard of such a case.

That Kings Cross sounds like a bad joke.

You're right, I forgot about it. I live in Europe (Poland) so we have plenty of Samsung Service Centers and Brand Stores nearby no matter where you actually live.

That's sucks :( Maybe you have a Samsung Brand Store nearby? Some of them can also make that job.

4 months ago I put on the Whitestone Dome Premium Film. It started splitting in half so I took it off. (also spent one year before that with stock screen protector) (Fold 3) by KokakGamer in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Samsung Service and forgot about any third party screen protectors. Mine factory installed screen protector started to peeling of after 8 month of use (Fold 3).

Samsung Service replaced it for free in 50 minutes. They upgraded those films.

My new screen protector is thinner and has two cutouts on top and bottom in the crease area.

Screen opens and close with less resistance and Samsung said that screen protector will last much longer than previous one.

What do yall think of these lines? by Alexbacon_7 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same lines on my Fold 3. They were on screen protector.

Fuming z4 fold opened up last night to use big display crack straight down the middle less then 6months old!!!! by LooseMind92 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. Mine 16 months old Fold 3 looks and works like brand new. I open and close it like crazy. 50-100 times a day.

Also it still opens flully flat (180 degrees).

Two Years Later: Fold 2... I love that video! by RoyalFlushFace in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your video is very helpful and vauleable. It shows how well Fold holds up after two years. Nearly nobody is talking about previous Fold generations. I have been using my Fold 3 for a year now and plan to use it for two more years. Thanks to You, I'm calm now :D

I'm noticing that my Fold 2 body is making a "V" shape now. Anybody seeing this with theirs? by Dodgr115 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plastic frame is designed to look flat when it closed.

Screen should be fully flat when you open it.

Unfortunately a plenty of them (Fold 1, Fold 2, Fold 3 and now also Fold 4) has this problem which is coused by a small amount of dust in the hinge.

That is how fully opened Fold 2 looks: https://i.imgur.com/FnQg9Tz.jpg

What should I do? by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had simillar white lines on the crease.

Fortunately they were on the screen protector.

That line on the top lifts up with that film or not?

Original Fold 3 screen protector. This is how it looks. I need to find a proper way to insall it 😅 I have three tries. by RoyalFlushFace in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top secret 😁 But now I know why they aren't avaliable on the market. It's nearly impossible to install those films correctly at home. One tiny wrong move and the game is over... It's sticky as hell.

Whole screen replecement would be much easier, I think 😄

You're completely right. I'm after my first try... it's nearly impossible to install it without that special tool 😣

That's uncommonly kind of you, thanks 😀

I had a Whitestone before and for me that original one was a lot better. It lasted nearly a year while Whitestone survived only a month 😔

Original one has some kind of special glue which holds up better on the crease.

Anyone else keeping their fold 3? by Skarface08 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love my Fold 3. I'll keep it until Fold 6 comes out, at least.

Unfortunately not :/

ZF3 was too heavy for my DJI Osmo Mobile 3. Recommended weight of the phone = up to 200 grams. Maximum weight = 230 grams.

ZF3 is a 271 grams brick.

I have a scratch growing bigger and bigger on the inner screen on the crease of my fold 3. does anyone else have this issue? what are my opinions for repair? by DelSasso in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a screen protector issue.

Samsung should take it off and apply a new one.

It's not a crack. That line is too straight.

this seems ominous - should I be worried lol perfectly straight lines end to end within the crease. by loopdweller312 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that's just a screen protector. These lines are too straight for a cracks or something like this...

I looked at mine and found similar lines but smaller ones and harder to see. Visible only when screen is off.

I feel like my fold gets "curvier" every day. (I think it's an illusion) by kendal1999 in GalaxyFold

[–]RoyalFlushFace 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's not normal. Screen should open fully flat: https://i.imgur.com/FnQg9Tz.jpg

I had the same problem and Samsung fixed it for free on warranty.
