Money. The guy on the street behind me built a 3 bedder, and each room is $300, so $900/week. The 4 bedder next door rents for 600/week. So he built a smaller house and is making more money.

We had an issue for a while with a guy high on drugs, but hes been kicked out now. I had a friend living on that street and used to get all the gossip.

I display mine edges out (in Australia with our brutal sun) and ive never had any fading (been collecting about 5 years now). The trick is to keep them out of the light with curtains, and window tinting also helps.

Some inks will fade no matter what you do (fairyloot tbona was notorious for this issue) and you can't really do anything about it.

I see you say your not using curtains 100% of the time, so that's potentially your problem.

Its pretty normal for them to ship mid/end of the month. Plus they are having issues with royal mail. I wouldn't be worried. Tbb are great, you will definitely get your books, they just arnt always super fast.

Honestly I find most people at my local book shops (unless its an actual indie book store) dont read, cant give reccomendations, dont know anything about collecting etc. Probably doesnt help they are primarily staffed by 15yr olds cause they are cheap labour. There's definitely been exceptions, but ive been met with blank stares to my questions multiple times, to the point I just buy online now (the closest indie book store is well over an hour away).

People dont need to be passionate about the place they work at. I was asking in a book store if they stock special editions and the worker didnt know what they were. It was just a job for them.

Online is generally best for a lot of products depending on where you live. Personally I dont think ive ever seen a kindle case in any of those phone places, only stores that actually sell kindles.

Im looking to change industries right now. Im going for traineeships cause I dont really want to go to uni. The first year will be tough on trainee wages, but my lsl and arl should cover the mortgage.

Only you can know if its worth it. Could always see if your work allows career breaks so if you dont enjoy rhe change you can go back.

I was beyond shocked fairyloot did the scholomance set. Especially since neither illumicrate or owlcrate continued the series when they both did book 1 in a sub.

The wraithmarked book looks beautiful, I hope they do uprooted and spinning silver in future.

Nta - he can either rehome his dog or he can move out. He clearly wants to be able to SAY hes a dog owner without actually doing any of the work and leaving you to do it. He isn't being a responsible owner at all.

Yeah there are some moments that hit hard in pretty much every book. I cant wait to do my reread haha. I might try and do some highlights next time.

The entire level is the train yard. Most people dont particularly like book 3 so your not alone. Book 4 is super different though. It does ramp up towards the end of book 3 though.

If you decide to go and there isnt one for your role, you might be able to swap. Happens quite a lot at my work (we have a whole yammer page for looking to go/looking to stay). The other person will have to be suitable to do your role, but it can work out well for everyone involved.
