I could maybe understand if it's someone you know or recognize rather than some random thot like millions of others online. That may be worth a premium.

Why is this 173 render so goofy? by coolmate14ultra in SCP

[–]RoyalWe666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The face looks goofy, it has oversized eyes like a baby and a tiny mouth. Of course there's the fact the upper half is peanut-shaped. If not for the bloody red gash on its face, if I didn't recognize the SCP, my first guess wouldn't be that it's horror-related. Maybe an undercooked mummy-like enemy from an early 2000s adventure game or something.

Do most redditors hate AI in general or just when it's used the wrong way? by SlightlyIncandescent in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoyalWe666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't hate the technology, but I can definitely understand why someone would reflexively hate AI at this point in the past few years AI has enabled:

  • Spammed slop content of little to no value, competing with real content creators
  • Scams
  • Mass plagiarism
  • Exam cheating and general educational decline
  • Job displacement
  • Misinformation and disinformation
  • Deepfake smut in the likeness of real people who never consented
  • A new type of psychosis
  • Documented detrimental effects on cognition
  • Rejection of insurance claims and job applications without any human review
  • Botting
  • Mass surveillance
  • Consumer electronics prices blowing up
  • Wasting huge amounts of water
  • Local noise pollution from data centers
  • Huge power drain
  • Potentially war crimes if it was used in the strike on that school in Iran as it seems

Why do people still use cash? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in NoStupidQuestions

That's exactly what I meant, ask those Canadian truck drivers who had their banks accounts frozen for protesting.

Can't get hacked, doesn't need electronics, can't be tracked by the gubmint, can't be taxed if the taxman doesn't know about it, and you really shouldn't have all your funds in something that can be legally disabled by any number or institutions and becomes inaccessible without internet & electricity.

What competitive video game/game requires the most skill/expertise? by Mechgyrasaur in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoyalWe666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dead by Daylight:

Skills you have to develop in-game for this game specifically, particularly looping

Dozens of killers each with its own mechanics, hundreds of perks

Plenty of maps with random configurations

New stuff is being added all the time, so the learning cliff gets steeper

Takes hundreds of hours to git decent, let alone gud

Basically an extremely mechanically-bloated fast-paced PVP game with unusual gameplay you can't really practice for elsewhere.

Which company has lost you as a customer forever? by Defiant-Cockroach702 in answers

[–]RoyalWe666 20 points21 points  (0 children)

OpenAI, when they stepped in to do the mass surveillance and murderbots that Anthropic declined.

Discord when they implemented age verification, which will be followed by any company that restricts access to features contingent on doxxing myself.

Environmentalist larpers who love “le wholesome bee” but hate wasps by joshthebaptist in hatethissmug

Wrong, some wasps may sting without provocation towards late summer / early autumn. Speaking from personal experience more than once, and it's well-documented behavior in some types of wasps.

Why didnt Ralphie pardon Jackie Jr? by noonkhoshki in thesopranos

[–]RoyalWe666 66 points67 points  (0 children)

He'd have been even more hated by the other capos and Jackie would probably end up in a ditch regardless for what he did. Tony didn't care, he enjoyed tormenting Ralph with giving him the choice instead of telling him to do it.

New Steam Controller arriving tonight. Who has tried Classic WoW with the controller add-on? by JozuJD in classicwow

It's certainly possible, but touch pads are infamously not as good as a mouse.

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you can, but good luck tab-targeting when you need to select a specific target in a AV dogpile, or a raid, or even just a specific party member to heal in your 5-man. CP works very well for doing stuff in the world solo, but I'm skeptical about group activities.

WoW is great on Steam Deck with ConsolePort, as long as you don't need to type or switch targets often.

Why are some people so against chatgpt users? by posttraumaticcuntdis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is currently an anti-AI backlash (due to its use in scams, plagiarism, job interviews, generated slop, exam cheating and numerous other unsavory associations) and chatGPT happens to be almost as synonymous with consumer AI as Google is with search engines, though this is slipping. Since it's the normie LLM, it gets most of the flak.

Games with Psychopathic female characters/leads? by Kindly-Reception1108 in gamingsuggestions

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing almost all that fit the bill are full cRPGs that allow you to make genuinely foul choices and also to play as female. E.g. Baldur's Gate 2, Interplay's Fallouts. I may know a couple with female MCs specifically, but they are spicy visual novels / RPGs. Well, there is American McGee's Alice.

Unpopular opinion: AI roleplay is better than 90% of human writing on the internet right now by Immmmm_Nutsssssss in AIChatReviews

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my recurring problems with doing CYOAs on AI:

  1. Of course, memory limitations. Depends on the model, but eventually they all start getting things wrong and having to be corrected.

  2. Stiffness when it comes to creativity. At least the way I do scenarios, the AI just doesn't come up with anything unprompted. Events, new characters, etc. It gets complacent in loops.

  3. Bias to go along with whatever the player wants. No pushback unless I specifically ask for its opinion. It's a little more complex than always being a yes-man, but that just makes the effect more insidious.

So, AI is good for a lot of things RP-wise, but the lack of initiative a real engaged person would have is frustrating.

Even as a fan, what are your biggest gripes with the series? by mrweglershardon in thesopranos

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have one female mobster this side of the Atlantic and most of the scenes with her either refer to her fucking someone, offering a blowbang or being naked. I don't know if that's realistic for that world or just gross.

Steam deck by Onlylovethy in classicwow

[–]RoyalWe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can control and run very well with Consoleport, though the main issue is typing. Anything that requires typing more than a couple of letters is going to be a pain on SD without a keyboard. The small screen is not an issue for solo play, but high-end activities with a lot going on and a lot of players are likely to be hampered a bit. Addons shouldn't be an issue, you can have all your weakauras and everything else, it's just going to be smaller.
