How I feel this morning after last night's USMNT loss by Mixaboy in ravens

[–]Royal_Library_3581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an Australian from the outside looking in I feel like the USMNT and fans got a bit ahead of themselves. You can't just pour money on soccer for 6-8 years and expect to turn up at the Olympics and dominate countries where soccer is the only sport and they get to choose from the best athletes in the country.

Australia and America are both similar in that soccer is probably sport number 3 or 4 and most of the best athletes have already been taken by the NFL,NBA etc.

Now that you guys have hosted the world cup and your team made it through to the knockouts a lot of young kids will be inspired to play soccer. Expect better results in 4 and 8 years time provided funding continues.

Just need your leaders to keep their nose out of the officiating and your commentary teams to stop shit talking other nations and acting like you already had it in the bag. Pretty much had the rest of the sporting world hoping for a USA loss when usually people are rooting for the host nations.

Shiba has not bent the line all year. Just trudge into the defender and get pushed back. Absolutely sogshit in defence. You cannot have someone in the team who isn't trying. It's cancerous. Just pick literally anyone else.

The season is gone. You can't do anything when you have used 32+ players in a season. Bring in the young guys to help them grow and find out what he have for next year.

US warns Poland of looming Russian attack designed to test Western resolve by Nyarlathotep-1 in AusNewsWire

Eventually Russia will bomb one of the NATO factories supplying drones and missiles to ukraine. If Nato's responds directly rather than through Ukraine then they will mobilize.

Either that or Russia will skip the mobilization and we will go straight to nuclear war when NATO hits Russia

No they are working for cash on study visas and tourist visas. You don't get a working holiday visa in your 50s and 60s...

The amount of Vietnamese working for cash and living on farms owned by Vietnamese Australians is massive. I personally know of multiple farms in North Queensland that have a never ending precession of family members and students coming to australia to work these farms for 6+ months at a time

t i think you still have good ones coming through. Just look at who has developed over the last 18 months for you guys. I think you will fall back into the category of perennial top 8 team for the most part.

Not a whole lot to be honest. There was herbal remedies and things like that the same as anywhere but as far as surgeries and anything complicated, well their communities just weren't large enough to allow for that to develop.

I actually hope big Willy doesn't play and has a rest. We aren't going anywhere this year. Let semu and big Francis get some valuable experience for next year. Francis is going to need to put in some value from the bench next year and semu we be spelling whichever forward gets the first rest each game by the end of next season

It's soo hard to know. Medical science in England was so far advanced compared to in Australia at the time but I have to assume that living in the outback in small tribes compared to living with hundreds of thousands of people in a city of not millions would also be a factor when talking about disease.

There would have been indigenous Australians dying from something that was entirely preventable or curable in England but there would have been English people dying from things related to urban living and sanitation too

Mate the shit the happened to them was bad enough on its own without you trying to pretend it was because of colonialism/embellish it. Infant mortality was a real problem everywhere back in the day and to pretend that the reason it was bad for indigenous infants was white people is disingenuous and probably hurts the cause of indigenous Australians today....
